Very large Japanese style rooms. Helpful staff. Spectacular views of the city. The only downside is that although its less than 1km from the train station, that 1km is straight uphill, and the direct path is via a maze of steep steps through temples and graveyards. Pros: the view of Nagasaki. We got upgraded to a huge corner room with a panoramic view of the city. The room was huge even for an American standard. I booked a triple-share room (3 adults and 2 young kids) and it was spacious enough for all of us. This hotel has a wonderful furo bath, one for women and one for men. What a wonderful Japanese experience. From sleeping on the traditional tatami mat with a futon to the hot furo bath to the wonderful food. Great hotel for business people and families alike. Very friendly staff. My husband is a history buff , so we came to Nagasaki to see the H bomb peace memorial. It was beautiful and well done. We were surprised at how romantic a city Nagasaki is.
