This budget hotel is well located in Nagasaki and close to the station and the marina , and trams pass outside the hotel taking you to wherever you want to go. The rooms have the Toyoko Inn trade mark stamped all over them - i.e. tiny but functional . Very good value for a couple of nights in the area.

As other reviewers have pointed out this chain provides a reliable and predictable offering. Small rooms but everything you need, well positioned for public transport and with an included breakfast. Breakfast here was slightly better and less of a scrum than the Tokyo Toyoko I stayed in. Plenty of shops nearby, close to a large shopping centre and waterfront restaurants,... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in November last year on a trip to Kyushu. Although the name of this Toyoko Inn is Nagasaki ekimae, it is actually a tram stop away from JR Nagasaki Station. It took me about 8-10 minutes to walk from the station with luggage. It is still a convenient place to stay at as you can... More

I like this hotel series. This hotel meets our expectation.Though it is not providing extra large double bed option, it is still good enough for us to stay one night. Please do not expect any luxury equipment in the room. At least, you have free wifi that is really nice. In short, this hotel worths to stay for a night.

The nice thing about Toyoko Inns in Japan is that you know exactly what you are getting. They are all pretty much the same. I stayed in this one as part of a study tour with other American teachers in early July 2013. I had a single room. While small (what isn't in Japan?!) it was more than sufficient. It... More

The Toyoko hotels seem to be more numerous every year. I guess success breeds success. They have replicated a formula with provides all the comforts and functions and eliminates the frills. The result is great value for money in a chain of hotels, often a few in each city. More geared to business men (where are the business women?} than... More

The room was inexpensive but small. The room charge included a self-service breakfast in the lobby. The hotel is within 600m walking distance from Nagasaki train station, or one stop by tram. I stayed 2 nights in a twin room, to which the following description refers. Beds: The beds are wide and have a rather hard innerspring mattress. They only... More

5 min walk to Train station. We were able to walk with kids even we had luggage. Rooms are small, but still they manage to fit in all amenities like water kettle, drinks , humidifier etc. they were out of non smoking rooms, and the room we got was stinking of cigarettes, must be heavily smoked in the previous night.... The Toyoko Inns are described well as "businessman's hotels". They are clean, quiet, with a nice breakfast. The rooms were small but efficient. They have the wonderful Japanese toilets with bidet features. They have the mirrors in the bathrooms that are heated and don't fog up after a shower. The breakfasts are Japanese style. The locations are a few minutes'... More

This is more formal than the Kagoshima Toyoko Inn. The service is good and they will bend over backwards to accommodate you. It is across from a Tram station but it easier to walk rather than catch the tram with suitcases. It is only a few 100 meters away from Nagasaki Railway Station. The Tram station at Nagasaki Is in...
