This hotel has definitely seen better days and is now showing it's age. The rooms are of course clean (being Japan) but do look quite worn down. They are surprisingly large for Japan and are well appointed with a flat screen TV and free wi-fi. Of some concern however was a very strong and somewhat unpleasant odor in the (non-smoking)... Good hotel in the middle of central Nagasaki next to the street cars (tram) stop that will take you anywhere in the city. Hotel is located close to the shopping arcade and China town. All with good restaurants. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to help me with tickets for Hashima Island and directions to... More

The main reason we booked this hotel was because it was the only one in Nagasaki (and I contacted a lot) that I could get to confirm that we could get connecting rooms – one single room (which had one double bed) and one twin room (which had two double beds). Perfect for our family of five, and apparently they... More

Situated in a great area for shopping and dining, everything is walking distance, trolley's, buses, grocery and plenty of places to eat. Hotel is nice and rooms are a good size for Japan, if you stay on the 10th floor they are much bigger. Rooms are a bit outdated and in need of upgrade, especially the carpets but the rooms... More

The location is very convenient. It is a short walk to the covered shopping streets and Chinatown. The room is standard size but considered big in Japan. The hotel is a bit old but kept well and clean, I think it used to be Holiday Inn, and new split-type air-conditioner is fitted. Free in-room... More

This is an odd hotel, with neither facade nor back on the street. You enter through a lane-way in the front and, in the back, the access is through the bar onto a wide shopping lane. It is convenient as there are shops nearby, grocery stores, tram stops and it is an easy walk to almost everywhere. However, the bar... More

Centrally-located. Clean, comfortable and modern rooms. What else? Stayed there 3 nights, winter, in a standard room. It was nicely-sized for two guests. View wasn't astonishing, but at least we weren't facing a brick wall. Very near the Shianbashi bar/restaurant district, and a mere 4 tram stops away from the train station. Only drawback: the breakfast, though plentiful, takes place... More

Centrally located and though quite international looking at both guests and the hotel bar, very Japanese in the sense of room size and cleanliness. Meaning? Rooms are small and very clean. What is not so nice about the Victoria Inn (despite the fact that somebody had smoked in our non-smoking room...) is that the rooms are old and need refurbishing.... More

Stayed here in a double room for 3 nights in early October, choosing this hotel based on its price and location to the bar/restaurant area (Shianbashi). The entrance to the hotel isn't the easiest to find, as it is down a small lane off the main street, so you have to look out for the small blue sign showing the... More

We stayed here in september at the start of Autumn. The lobby is nice and stylish but the room we stayed in was old and dated - and not in a classy way. The furniture was very worn and nothing like the pictures they show. It looked like cheap op-shop rip-offs. We had also paid for a Queen Bed room... More
