Through the recommendation of my colleague, we booked a 3-night stay at the weekly mansion at 17600 yen and didn't regret it. The room though old is spacious by Japanese standard, with 1 double bed and a single bed good for the 3 of us. Its a studio room with kitchenette complete with cooking pans and utensils. There is a... more

Although booking online was quite problematic - we used 2 different engines to book 5 nights and upon arrival there were no problems. Staff were exceptionally helpful - it is centrally located - right near a train station. Every question we asked - they were able to help or find out the answer for us. My husband & my parents... more

We chose to stay at the Weekly Mansion because it was slightly cheaper than staying in a hotel, but didn't expect it to be like a backpackers hostel. The furnishings were old and tired and the bathroom looked like it belonged in a cabin, not a hotel/motel with a toilet that flushed really loudly. About the only good thing about... more

This hotel might be suitable for a student travelling on a very limited budget. It is not suited for anyone used to staying in chain hotels in North America or Europe. It seemed like a run-down college dorm. There was a small kitchenette area but I didn't even want to make tea in it. The bathroom was very small. The... more

We've paid less than £40 per night for a decent size twin room. It had home-to-home comfort and flexability, convinient location (lots of shops and restaurants nearby) and helpful staff. Although the room is a bit worn out, especially the tiny bath and the noisy toilet., it is a very good value for money. They have bigger rooms for four... more

Spotlessly clean rooms. Reasonably spacious, at least by Japan standards. Kitchen facilities in room. Heating works well. Quiet location off the main streets. Subway, and a few convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance. Osaka Castle a slightly longer walk. Only problem was the front desk shuts up at 8pm -- had to bang on the door for my late... more

The room was a spacious 2 bedroom apartment with all you could ask for. Facilities to do your own meals or a plethora of restaurants very near by. The best value eatery was TOKU, up the hill towards the subway, on the corner. Great food. The hotel had very helpful staff who mostly had good English skills and their English... more

My wife and I stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights as part of our tour of Japan. We had a very pleasant stay. For the price (8,000 yen) we got two beds, a tv, a microwave, a kitchen sink, a refrigerator, a food warmer, utensils and a western bathroom. AND! compared to the other places we stayed in... more

We stayed here with 4 adults and 2 children. The old saying you get what you pay for, and this is exactly what we got (and wanted). As we came to Osaka to see sights, all we wanted is somewhere to sleep at the end of the day. The place was tidy and bigger than what we thought. If you... more

I am staying here right now. It is very noisy from early to late, as construction is going on right next door and across the street. Other than that, it's typical city noise. My room is quite large, I have the Grand and have more than enough space. Internet is free, however it is not wireless but a cable is... more
