While the ryokan seemed to be a small place, the customer service was the best my partner and I had in Japan. Friendly, warm and inviting, while the initial thoughts were a little disappointed, once we settled in and saw our room, we feel this was one of the best hotel we experienced in our trip around Japan.

We started our trip in Japan in Osaka and the Hotel was our base for 5 days. Ultra friendly staff, clean room, great service! Even gave us farewell gifts, as well as advice on securing tickets on the Shinkansen down to Hiroshima and back up to Tokyo. Based in the entertainment sector of Osaka, very close to tourist spots, train... More

We stayed here one night to be close to the nightlife in Osaka before we ventured to Kyoto the next day. The front desk was very helpful and thorough with all of our requests. We got a little lost as we didn't realize that we needed to make a right as soon as we came out of exit 2 at... More

A bit pricey for a B&B but we valued the experience of staying in a Ryokan Have to pre-book the traditional breakfast Staff were very friendly and helpful Walking distance to the downtown of Osaka A lot of supermarket and fast food around the area Be careful with the night hour because they will lock the main door for safety... Stayed here for a taste of Japanese style living. Rooms very big enough to move around and very clean. They will come in to make the mattresses after we left for dinner. Mattresses were actually very comfortable. Friendly staff at the front desk. But do make it back to hotel by 1am. As they will lock the front door. Besides... More

We had a great time here. Despite being in the middle of the city, once we were inside we felt like we were in a traditional ryokan. We also had a balcony to look out over the river. Breakfast was prompt and the bed was comfortable. We have no complaints!

I stayed at the Kaneyoshi for 3 nights in October 2013 and would have no hesitation in going right back if I was ever in Osaka again. The Guesthouse is in a great central location and is within walking distance to the Shinsaibashi and DotonburI and a number of subway stations. Its really is a great neighbourhood to see all... More
