The location is simply superb! Directly next to the Nagahoribashi Underground. There's also 2 Japanese restaurants right opposite which serve from breakfast to dinner with yummy hot food and good pricing. The front desk staff is always smiling and attentive. One of the girls even went out in the cold winter under drizzling rain to help us get two taxis... More

Stayed 3 nights here last year in March with a friend. Was given a big room (usually very small in Japan) with twin beds. The hotel is right next to a tube station and within easy walking distance to shops and eateries in Shinsaibashi. It was really convenient to get to different places in Osaka from the Ark. The only... More

One of the cheaper hotels I booked in Japan. Location is superb, close to everything: shops, restaurants, stations, etc. If location and price are your top priorities, this won’t disappoint. Not a very fussy guest here, but there are a few things I didn’t love about the place: First of all you have to leave the key, an actual key,... More

I spent 6 nights at this hotel, and I loved the location. There was a mini mart across the street, and I was able to get great food there to eat in my room for breakfast and dinner most nights. Tea was provided, but not coffee so I had to buy a small bottle at the mini mart. The room... More

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a 4 day break in Osaka from 8th-12th February. We stayed on the 8th floor. We made the booking through booking.com so we could pay on arrival which worked out perfectly and it was easy to reserve. Staff at the hotel reception are very nice (as is everyone in Osaka!) and... I loved how strategic this hotel is and it is especially great if it is your first time in Osaka! One of the subway exit/entrance is literally next to your hotel so you don't have to worry about getting lost upon arrival. There is Yoshinoya and another fast food chain just outside the hotel along with Family Mart and 7-11... More

Ark Hotel is right next to a metro station and walking distance to Dotonbori. The room and the bathroom are really small by European or Westerner standards, but a standard size in Japan. I had a single room at the end of corridor, it supposed to be quite, but the room door was rally thin and i could overhear my... More

Stayed there for one night. No early check in as front desk insisted on checking everyone from 3pm onward. Not even pre-register passport info etc... The hotel is little bit dated but at least you get a decent size room. I paid about USD 100 for the night so can't complain too much. Walking time to Shinsaibashi shopping area is... More
