I made my first trip to Osaka and all I wanted was an affordable, conveniently located hotel so that I could easily and quickly get to the attractions. I got more than I had imagined when I stayed here. The hotel is easily within walking distance to Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori and is only a couple blocks from the nearest subway... More

We stayed at the Ark for one night as a last minute choice after other accommodation fell through. We found the staff strangely stand-offish which was odd. But for a last minute booking the price was very reasonable. We got a room with three big single beds in it and as others have observed, the rooms here are quite big... More

Yet very dated and the walls were covered in marks. Also the walls and doors were paper thin, so if you are a light sleeper this will be a problem. Nice staff, helpful. 10 min walk from great shopping A walk away from streets lined with cute, yum eateries.

This hotel from the outside seems small and not too pleasant but it actually is really good. The room itself is huge. It is easily the biggest room I have ever stayed in, in a hotel in Asia. In consideration, this hotel is great! The Location is pretty good too. It is directly across the rode from some of the... More

It was the first hotel we stayed in Osaka and although the hotel is located in a downtown area, unfortunately I was disappointed in my experience there. I would first mention the good points I found in the hotel: it is very close to a subway station which makes it easy to get there if you come by train from... More

We came from Hong Kong with no Japanese language knowledge. When we arrived airport, it took us quite a while to get to the subway. However, when we exit from the subway station, we found the hotel just behind the station. We checked in the room. When we turned on the tap, we found the sink was plugged. The front... More

I stayed here with a friend for several days whilst visiting Osaka. The first big win for this hotel is the location. It's right above Nagahoribashi subway station and about 5-8 minutes walk from Shinsaibashi subway station through an underground shopping centre, so it's very safe to get back to in the evenings. There are several restaurants and convenience stores... More

Very handy to all amenities. Coffee shop is good. Restaurants all around the hotel so no need for one within. Very clean. We had a twin room which was very comfortable however the bathroom was very small, although that is the theme through Japan. Staff speak passable English and were so very helpful. Made you feel welcome! Directly above Nagahoribaishi... More

The hotel is excellent for touring Osaka. Its only a few stops away by subway to most attractions around town and it sits on the line towards Kyoto in case that is also in your itinerary. The rooms are small but average for Japan. The bathrooms are the standard business as well. We were able to get a great deal... More
