The design is half as cool as the pictures show. This is particularly in the public areas. The rooms are tired and need a refresh. The service is friendly but not flexible at all. I will try a different hotel next time.

I think this hotel copied some New York Mercer Hotel design to the room although there is no view to a Soho neighborhood. The room is comfortable but I think they need to improve the cleanliness of the shower area. The breakfast food is also not impressive.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Can't believe the negative reviews and low rating. Very central to the station. A good part of town. Great rooms (we needed 2), and fantastic staff. Brilliant, modern food and breakfasts that never ended.

I was intending to stay at this hotel for one night and made reservation through Booking.com for a double bed room and recommended for a king-size bed. A day later I received an email directly from the hotel and they informed me that the bed size for this room is 123 x 200 cm, but if I would pay about... More

This is one of Osaka's best-kept travel secrets. Great strolling on the recently improved Dojima River waterfront. Around 20-min. nice walk to Osaka Stn/Umeda. Very nice rooms, attentive staff. However, the one time I ate in the 1st floor restaurant I was rather disappointed, especially considering the fact that they have a great bakery. Much better prices than comparable hotels... More

This was our first stop arriving in Japan... The hotel is reasonably close to related metro station, easy to find walking, it is utterly design and clean.... Bedroom was just outstanding, featuring an "opened" bathroom with a window on the bedroom, very confortable beds, very clean and design... It is located in the business distrct, with lots of shopping malls,... More

I think men likes these kind of design . But the quantity of room is not good. I had imagined small luxuary hotel till I stayed, but I felt it is modern buisiness hotel for men. I don't recommend Americans who live California. Because my room was small ,dark, wet, smelling and not so clean. These are opposite of Westcoast... More

Dojima is very easy to get to, a 10 minute walk pretty well straight down one street from Osaka station. However you might want to consider staying in Minami-Horie as this was the really interesting district with cool bars, cafes, shops and restaurants. Anything less than a deluxe double room will really be too small. The deluxe is small but... More

This hotel is recommended in Monocle's Japan guide, so I had great expectations. But I was disappointment, the cool hotel that I expected was more with IKEA-like, cheap looking furniture. Bathrooms are cool though. convinient location. I Got a nice Breakfast in the room because the restaurant was occupied.

Dojima is not a bad option but nothing to dream about. Decently priced for Japanese standards, good location (a 5 minute walk from Osaka main station) good breakfast and clean room and common spaces. But... 1. the hotel aims at being a sort of design mecca, but apart from the photobooks exposed in shopwindows at the entrance, the decoration is... More
