Stayed five nights at the Chisun Hotel in Osaka. My first impression was that it was not very clean. The room was old and outdated, there were stains on the carpet and walls, and you always smell smoke in the hotel lobby from the restaurant area. Your view is basically the side of another building. The room was big by... more

The good points: - very centrally located and a good base to explore Osaka. - underground Cresta shopping alley under the hotel (via Subway) - great service at reception despite poor English - excellent breakfast - One of the TV channel has an interpreter button to listen to the local news in English - wonderful - 5 min walk to... more

Great location within walking distance to everything. Good value and easy to get to from the airport. Right near the subway and underground mall system and near to Dotombori (short stroll). Staff spoke reasonable english. Rooms small but all Japanese rooms are. Would stay here again no problem. more

As a business hotel this would get 5 stars, but as a hotel in general it is worth 4. Great price, excellent location, wonderful breakfast, free internet. On the down side, rooms are tiny but ok if you are travelling by yourself with only one piece of lugguage. I would stay here again, it is very convenient to get to... more

Hotel is in a great location, we were able to walk there from the subway station with all our luggage. There are plenty of shops close by. The rooms were small, barely enough room for two people and two suitcases but this is Japan and you have to expect it. Hotel staff spoke good english. Rooms came with tea and... more

Stayed in a standard room, which was very small (yes, even by Japan standards) but clean and totally functional. There is literally just enough room inside for the bed and desk. Only one person can fit into the modular bathroom at a time (the bathroom is somewhat similar to what you find on a cruise ship). But the bed was... more

We stayed at Solare Hotels Chisun [or Chisan] hotel from 22/apr/06 for several nights. We paid JPY 8,900 [inc. breakfast] for a twin room on the 4th floor. This hotel is in a perfect location above the subway and shopping-food mall. It is, as reported elsewhere, very quiet despite being in the centre of town. The hotel is extremely clean,... more
