Liked: location to Dotonbori shopping, Nipponbashi station, large bedroom, separate toilet, reliable wifi & air conditioning, free breakfast, windows had a Japanese style. Room for improvement: use hot tap only to get warm water, shower hose arrangement not practical, limited breakfast range, dated look.

Pros: - Quadruple room is big - Japanese beds were comfortable - Separate toilet and shower (with bathtub) - English-speaking staff - Walking distance from Dotonbori and train station Cons: - the room feels a little old - poor wifi connection in the room - housekeeping will not clean the room unless you put a "Please clean room" sign. We stay three days at Hotel Naniwa. Hotel staff is fine, speaks good English. Great location, close to Dotonbori & subway Nipponbashi Station. However, room is just OK, not quite clean. Restaurant at the hotel is old, and many holes are scattered around the papers on the Japanese sliding doors. Eating breakfast there is not a comfortable experence. Need renovation... More

We stayed two nights at this hotel. Room for the first night was big, but service was poor. Due to changes in trip itinerary, we made bookings for two nights' stay at the hotel separately. However, upon check-in, we were told that due to constraint in room availability, we had to stay in different rooms, and by implication, we had... More

Hotel Naniwa is very close to Dotonburi & subway Nippombashi Station. We took rapid Nankai train from Osaka Airport to Namba & change to subway only 1 stop to Nipponbashi. Hotel staff suggest us to take exit 6 because it was a closet exit but after the 1st day we found take exit 10 is much more convenience because it... More

The hotel has a great location-it is very near to dotonburi and about a 10 min walk to americamura.there are shops around the area. It is a very quiet place to stay when in osaka.although walking from the nearest station takes about 10 min( a considerably long walk for people carring luggauges), still i would recommend staying at this place

We chose this hotel mainly for its location. We had a room with 3 single beds and wooden floor on the last floor. All together it was ok for staying a couple of nights, very close to metro stations and to one of the most lively neighborhood in Osaka. Price was too high, but it was during very high season,... Staff is very friendly, they greet you everytime you go out and come back. I reach there early, they even let me check in early. Room is spacious and nice. Bed is nice... More

The hotel is within 10mins walk to Doutonbori shopping street and also Shishaibashi street as they are all connected. We had a quad sharing room and its very spacious sleeping on tatami floor with futon mattress. There's even yukatas (Japanese robes) provided. The only setback is the ventilation in the toilet. The hotel staff are very helpful providing map and... More
