At below € 120/night the Westin Osaka is a very good deal. Of course it doesn't meet Westin standard (not all rooms with internet access, part of bathroom with carpet, not hip styled) but you have to see the price they charge. Due to Platinum Starwood Card I get continental breakfast for free (nice setting), lounge access (lounge is okay)... more

American living in Tokyo. Travel frequently through Japan and try to stay at Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, Starwood, etc. to accrue points. Made a mistake staying here. Not located close to city centre at all. Hotel lobby and rooms are badly in need of a makeover. Apparently hotel had some financial troubles and it shows. Executive lounge is embarrasing. Stay at... more

On the map it looked close to Umeda/JR Osaka station, but actually it is a bit of a hike. As we came in by the airport limousine to Umeda (which drops off at the New Hankyu Hotel) we were a little disoriented. But some helpful people pointed us in the direction of a path that leads to an underpass (which... more

Excellent hotel. Rooms are very large and clean. Only stayed one night as a stopover, but would stay again. Bed is very comfortable, bathroom is large. And it has one of the best pastry shops I have seen. did have difficulty ordering room service, due to the language barrier, but they did try to help out the best they could.... more

Having spent six heavenly nights at the Westin Tokyo (see review), we were really looking forward to an equally enjoyable five-night stay at the Westin Osaka. Unfortunately, our hopes were crushed as soon as we exited the JR station to wait for the hotel shuttle. The airport shuttle runs at different intervals throughout the day depending on the time of... more

Great hotel. Beautiful rooms, great lobby, and very good service at the front desk. Only there for a night, but liked it a lot. more

We just finished up a 6 night stay at The Westin, and despite the mixed reviews here, we really enjoyed the stay. Yes, it is slightly inconvenient that you have to walk 10 minutes to get to Osaka Station, and there are certainly other hotels that are more centrally located, but this hotel is not bad. After reading these reviews,... more

The Westin Osaka certainly isn't a bad hotel - it's clean (if a little dated), the rooms are large and the staff is wonderful and friendly. But when you compare it to other Westin hotels, or other choices within the same price range in Osaka, it doesn't measure up. There are some good views from the upper floors. The grounds... more

Very comfortable stay at the Westin Osaka. Got a good rate on the Club room through the Starwood website. The hotel is not designer cutting edge nor does it pretend to be. It is a like a refined old dowager, very comfortable and very solid. The disappointment is the Club lounge which is tiny. Every time I went there I... more

Did not join membership until Jan 1, 2007. Stayed 4 nights at Osaka Westin during our 2 weeks of vacation in April 2004. We paid 40% less than the Tokyo Westin. At teh Osaka westin, we stayed at the club floor, 29 th floor; stayed at the club floor at Tokyo Westin as well. The service was as good as... more
