I attempted to stay here in March of 2015 for 2 nights while I was in Osaka. Everything was fine while taking the elevator and during the check-in in the main lobby. However, once I entered the back lobby to make my way to my room, the smell of cigarette smoke was overpowering. There was no visible smoke anywhere -... More

Stayed here in April 2014 - my first time to Japan. The place is really easy to find for a first timer to Japan. We flew into Osaka on a late evening Peach flight. The train station is literally next door (make sure to note the Exit Number) to the station. We took the Narita express to Tennoji and the... More

It was really clean and best management. The size of room was pretty suitable. Here was in the center of downtown, so comfortable. The had spa for guests, so awesome and beneficial. However, I was worried a bit when I knew that no lock at the door but the offered small locker under the bed for your special belonging. Also,... More

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights (tue to fri) when I visited Osaka. Travellers who head straight to the hotel from the Kansai Airport usually take the Nankai Airport Train to Nankai Namba Station. My advice is to walk to the Namba Subway Station (Midosuji Line-Red Colour) once you exit the ticket gantry from the Nankai Namba Station... More

The First Cabin experience is not for everyone. As you'll read in other reviews, the beds aren't fluffy, there's no privacy in the showers, you can hear noise from guests all around you, and your luggage might not fit in the locker under the bed, but you have to keep in mind this is a luxury *capsule* hotel. I found... More

The first cabin is scattered on about 3 floors. Reception is on the 4th floor. The place is clean and staff professional, it has free sauner and hot bath but you pay for tv massage and breakfast which is not european. The only fault I can find is the bed was hard and a slight smell of smoke, not sure... More

Pros: Cabin is very roomy, didn't feel boxed in at all. Cabin is clean and has lots of outlets. Stuff feels safe in the locker under your bed I didn't worry about there being no locks on the actually curtain to the cabin. Bathrooms are well appointed and super clean. Great location - a few blocks from Dotonbori and loads... More

I spent in this hotel the first night after my arrival to Japan. With the jet-lag I didn't feel like sleeping, so I strolled around this hotel, in where I found many surprises. The first I did was to have a shower in those typical Japanese baths in where you are sitting down to immerse from the very beggining in... More

stayed there 2 nights and 2 nights in the kyoto brand, in the beginning felt a little strange as you cannot close the door to your cabin, it had a plastic slider which is open on the top a little. being in japan, this concept works though very good. your mainly japanese fellow sleepers are so quiet, you have a... I wanted to stay in a capsule-like hotel during my first trip to Japan. Although First Cabin technically isn't a capsule, it was close enough without the clausterphobic aspect. Positives: Cheap, clean, and breakfast was OK (and included in my rate). Shiseido toiletries and flat irons in the shared bathrooms. Negatives: Loud, meaning I could hear others moving around most...
