I would say my tolerance for accommodation is pretty average, but this hostel really challenged my limit for travel lodging. I already prepared myself for this place as I went through a lot of review about this place, but none of them explained how bad this place is! We stayed here for three nights, not even a single night we... More

Right after my friend red some coments about bad smell in hall, bad sanitary kitchen, shower, toilets etc. I got scared. The room is small, central old conditioner under the ceiling I think, some pipes are seen. Some stains on the walls, and also sleep sheets has strange white stains, metal door, railway nearby. I wouldn't sleep necked, the pillow... More

Without doubt it has to be one of the most basic hotels I have ever stayed in!. It is a little deceptive though.,as from the outside and entering the reception area it "seems" promising. Don't be fooled!.....the tiny creaky and grubby lift brings you to each of THE most austerer of floors. When we located our room with it's 'tin'... More

I wouldn't say this place was terrible, but being so close to the railway made for a noisy night (announcements in the morning were the worst!). The coin-operated shower was also a bit dirty. The rooms are very sparse with just a futon and a small table, and the pillow is a kind of bean bag that isn't the comfiest... More

I never saw an hotel like that before. At the door the price was written 1300 Yens and they charged me 1850 Yens. The toilet is really dirty,i didn't use it at all, scared to catch something from there. The room looked like a cell in jail but i didn't mind for that. The matress was so tiny that in the morning my back was... It was directly next to the train station, could be cleaner and the toilets/showers on each floor were designed for men. I had to go from the 8th floor to the ground floor to use the toilet. The lady showers were outside in some extra room. Don't go here if you're female. The wifi wasn't good either. And to get... More

This place is definitely cheap, but I can understand why. The rooms was dirty and smelt strongly of stale smoke. Although we had booked non-smoking rooms, when we arrived we found out there were none available. The area also seems a little dodgy. This isn't the worst hotel in the world, and the price is certainly tempting, but I'm glad... More

We stayed at Hotel Sun Plaza for one night and couldn't believe how great the experience turned out. After reading many negative reviews, we approached our accommodation hesitantly but it seems the hotel has lifted their game. The rooms included a fridge and TV and were fantastic for what you pay for, the staff were very helpful (they gave a... More

First time in Japan and I always stay at full-service hotels, so I did not know what. I had a miserable experience, but of I was a back-packer with experience staying hostels, I probably would have been pleased with this place. It's incredibly cheap--I booked via an Internet service for $18 a night, but saw single rooms advertised at $13... More

If you are looking for a quick place to stay, as I often am after flying into a foreign country, getting a train from the airport, and walking in the weather, then this might be the place for you. The express train from Kansai airport to Namba runs straight to Shin-imamya. This is a central location for many train stations... More
