I had a choice of choosing from Hotel Keihan Universal City or Hotel Keihan Universal Tower. I should have chosen the Tower. This hotel was a bit more in price so I assumed it was the better of the two. The hotel uses actual keys not key cards so obviously it's not up to date. Had to turn in the... More

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The hotel staff were fantastic! Check-in was a breeze as most of them speak very good English. Their service is warm & friendly! There were free USJ themed stickers and also cheese snacks on the counter which the staff encourage us to "take as many as you (we) want". Buying the USJ tickets were a breeze at the... More

Decent clean and right in the center of Universal walk. Affordable, staff are very friendly. Buffet is decent and you can buy park tickets downstairs. Will be staying here again. Train station 4 minutes away. Universal studios 4 minutes away. Very convenient.

Fantastic location to visit Osaka, even if you aren't going to Universal City (which we didn't). Close to a Subway station that easily connects to the Osaka Loop. Lots of familiar restaurants for those looking for less adventurous fair. Surprising large bed for a Japanese hotel. Lots of kids in the lobby and hallways, but no noise complaints here.

Worth every yen. KEIHAN UNIVERSAL CITY HOTEL became one of my favorite hotels. I am sure that you will love the hotel if you are planning to go to Universal Studios Japan. I went there when I was a high school student, and I thought it was something like a dream. First of all, the hotel is conveniently located and... More

Best location, i.e. only steps away from Universal Studio. Strongly recommended for families with small children. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to find necessities. One drawback is the poorly-handled baggage process as the queue is very long and slow.

Family character room was nothing much more than loud cartoon curtains and bedsheets, After placing one double and single bed side by side, not much space anymore. View was terrible - rusty industrial area (which explains the curtains!). Just a min walk from Universal City station. It was easy to get here from Osaka Station - 10 m ride. If... More

The reason for staying at this hotel and the clientele it attracts should be fairly obvious. You're paying for the location, and although it's nothing spectacular it's certainly reasonable value. We stayed in a double room, which was typical of other hotels (small prefab room). The room was possibly a little smaller than you could get at the same price... More

We rode the JR Yumesaki line and got here at about 10:40am. There was already a long queue of people trying to check in, that really took me by surprise. (Same thing happened next morning.) Everyone wanted to check-in first and drop their luggages so they can get in the park to play without worries. We queued for 1/2 hour... More
