I stayed at this hotel alone. Since most of the hotels near Umeda or Osaka station were fully booked, I selected this cheap hotel. The room rate was 5000 JPY per night, the restroom, bathtub and shower are equipped, breakfast was included, and eight-minute walk from Umeda station. All of them were advantages of this hotel. The issues of this... More

Went to this hotel in december. Had a nice reception but the rest of the hotel was older. The room was ok, plenty of space but nothing more. The bathroom was old but clean. It was pretty cold outside and the windows were very thin, so I had to hang up some towels in front of the window..

Located about 10 mins from umeda station in red light area but felt very safe. Also near plenty of restaurants. Rooms are small and basic but clean, ours had a view of a concrete wall a metre away. There's free WiFi in lobby.

The location is good, it's about 5-10 mins work from the Umeda station. The rate is cheap, and also it have the laundry room, which is good for backpacker like us. And the wall it's a little bit thin that if u talk a little louder u will sound noise to other. After all, I am satisfied at that rate... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night. The price for the room is pretty cheap which is nice. The lobby is great and clean, but when we got to the room. The room smelled really bad, and it looked kind of dirty. The location around the hotel is the weakness. From the map, this hotel seems to be near... More

If you are staying in the city just a couple of night and want to save on cash this is a good choice. Friendly staff, clean but basic (and quite old) rooms. Good location, as it’s only a 10-15 walk to Osaka station or a few minutes in a taxi. Quite a lively area, not only GoGo bars. There are... More

I stayed here for two nights. The room was basic, clean, probably typical size for a Japanese city hotel. The drawback was that the hotel was initially difficult to find when I arrived at night. Otherwise, it's about a 15-minute walk to the Osaka JR station. This was a dependable, basic accommodation that was reasonably priced and met expectations. The... More

The main selling points for Hotel Kansai are the price - around 4000yen per night during most times, and it's location: somewhat close to Umeda/Osaka Station. No complaints about the room. It's small, but not especially small for Japan and no smaller than expected for the price. The bed could've been newer and more comfortable. These are minor complaints though.... More

Good: price, amenities Drawback: small room, bad sound insulation, limited toiletries, no WiFi ====================================== Room stayed: Single room type A (non-smoking) at new wing Room rate: 4100-4200yen (weekend) and 3800yen (weekdays), both including buffet-breakfast Location: About 15 mins walking distance from JR Osaka/Subway Umeda stations. Spent quite some time to locate this hotel, because the underground shopping street is kind... More

Weren't super impressed with this hotel. Room was pretty dingy and old - coped by consuming the cheap (compared to Aussie prices) liquor from the store a couple of doors down. Window part opened - and opened onto an alleyway, but needed to do that to air the room each arvo. Room smelt smoky. Bathroom wasn't particularly nice. Room was... More
