We booked a room for three. The photos and the presentation of the hotel on the site showed a real room for three. What we got there was a room for two with an extra bed. We complained. The attitiude was a sort of "take it or leave it". If we knew it in the first place, we might have... More

It's a 2 star experience. Smelly, but comfortable rooms with no frills. I'd return, because it's value for money in an expensive city. Has everything you need, except for a safe. Area is totally hip. Hardly any english but easy to get around.

We are in a party of 3 girls and reserved a triple room. The hotel is quite old but happy that there were separately bath room and toilet. The bath room is very big in tradition Japan style . it is prefect for 3 girls like us as no need to fight at night while cleaning up. Staffs don't understand... More

This hotel is not for families with young children. The triple room was small compared to other hotels in Osaka but the worst part is that they allow smoking in the rooms. The room stank and we couldn't wait to leave this hotel for that reason alone.

Lions Rock Shinsaibashi It's in the perfect area! Right in the middle of America-Mura and so near the train and Daimaru (department store) and the Dotonburi area, and the Namba and the Shinsaibashi train/subway! The staff are very friendly (even the people outside) and they're very helpful with maps, directions, and all! The rooms aren't that bad at all. The... More

Friendly staff but the hotel and room was old and the bathroom had a funky moldy smell. No matter how much I sprayed with the free deodorizing spray they provided, I just could not get rid of the moldy smell. Clean nonetheless. Walking into the hotel and room was like walking into a 70's wormhole.

Stayed in twin room. Pro: 1. Large bathroom, separated from toilet 2. Location, walking distance to dotonbori 3. Price (we booked for 2 nights, 3pax,approx. USD 160). Free coffee at lobby Cons 1. Smell a kind ( probably because of the old furnishing? smoking? I have no idea) 2. Not air cond during our stay, but we did not care... More

The only good was the location, other than that, nothing good. For the room itself, it was old, small, street view, dirty (in Japan standard). The air-conditioner only with Low, Medium and High, you cannot adjust the temperature, it was extremely noisy when turning to High. This was the only one hotel without a electric toilet that I stayed in... More

I went to Osaka for 4 nights 5 days. The Lions Rock hotel was a good choice as it was in Shinsaibashi. Unfortunately the location was not so good. It was difficult EVEN to use google maps as it was not quite accurate. The good thing about the location is that it is near Shinsaibashi. The rooms were quite small.... More

As we wanted to stay closer to Shinsaibashi we chose this hotel. It's 10 min walk to subway and all the shopping malls in the region. Overall it's worthy as an ecomonical hotel, as we only stayed there when we really had to sleep. The building is a bit old and crowded, so are the rooms. Plus, the sound-proofing is... More
