I arrived to Japan last December, I stayed at the Capsule Hotel Asahi Praza and I absolutely love it! If you want to have the experience to stay in a Japanesse Caspule I highly recommend this place. It was clean, with a lot of facilities like lockers, complimentary shampoo, conditioned, tooth paste, tooth brush, gown.... laundry is available inside the... More

Stayed for two nights. Pros: *Bed is comfortable enough, inside of pillow is made of hard small balls which I personally found OK but others might not. *Good price (book through their website for a discount) *Good lounge rooms with TV, manga library, comfortable chairs and slot machines *Restaurant inside the hotel offers decent breakfast and lunch at a fair... You know the adage you get what you pay for? Well here, on top of the measly price of 2500 yen you get a locker for your shoes at the door, you get a clean yukata and towel and access to 6 person onsen bath, as well as another locker for your things and the requisite capsule where you lay... More

The flow isn't designed very well, there are two locker rooms in the women only capsule area, but I was unable to find the other one, wasted some time to find it. It's not really convenient for travellers since there isn't a room designed for packing things, I felt a bit awkward while taking stuff from my luggage in the... More

Staying here is a great experience, from check in where you're given information on the house rules and directions around the hotel to finding your own little capsule for the night. You have a choice of capsule, either with a tv or with a power socket. I'm 6 foot and slightly bigger than your average Japanese guy but found I... More

I was desperate for a cheap hotel room for 1 night at the last minute, but all the budget hotels in the area were all booked out. I had always wanted to try a capsule hotel and after this experience my only regret is I didn't try it earlier! The staff at the dest could speak some English and were... More

Going into my one night stay at this capsule hotel my family back in the US could not believe I would subject myself to this experience. I on the other hand couldn't wait to try out this very uniquely Japanese tradition. The team at the front desk could not have been nicer. They helped us understand what we were supposed... More

This was only for 1 night and was something we wanted to experience while in Japan. It was very very cheap compared to all other options and was quite ok. It was clean enough and had all the shared facilities that you could want including an Onsen. Having never stayed in a Capsule before i do not have much to... More

My fiancé and I stayed at the Asahi Plaza Capsule Hotel in November 2013 and found the hotel to be the ultimate in budget accommodation. The place was clean, the service was impeccable, the location was ideal, but the facilities are what really sets this place apart from other budget accomodation. Every hostel around the world could learn a thing... More

Overall I had a really good experience here, but there is a lot to consider if you're looking to stay at the Capsule Hotel. I do recommend it especially if you're staying alone. I'm not used to people smoking inside, so that was a huge turn-off initially, but that's just a cultural thing. You get used to the smell after... More
