I recently had a trip to Osaka and stayed in this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located at Osaka Shinkansen station. This makes travelling very easy from Tokyo using Shinkansen. I was initially contemplating to stay near Osaka station rather than Shin Osaka station. After much consideration, I choose Shin Osaka as I do not want to lug my luggage... More

Hotel Laforet is neither a great or bad hotel. I mean it has everything you need, it's nice and clean, the breakfast is OK although maybe a bit strange for a westerner, but on the other hand there is also not much to be excited about. The location is however great right next to a big railway station making is... More

This hotel is next to Shin-Osaka station but a good distance from old Osaka. It's modern and my room was very large. Everything was clean and worked as required. In-room facilities were ample. The massage chair is a bit unnecessary, I think. No English language TV channels except CNN and BBC World. Good, if simple and relatively limited breakfast.

Recently stayed here for business trip to Japan. The hotel is big, very near to Shin-Osaka station. Rooms are big & have basic facilites. No wifi in rooms, biggest minus point as it has become necessary now. Wifi available only in lobby. No english news or movie channel on TV. Restaurant provides very limited options. But at Shin- Osaka station,... More

This hotel has larger rooms and are much bigger than the normal Japanese hotel. It is not that well maintained but is ok for a place to put your head down as you travel through! Don't have food there it is expensive instead walk to the statin right by your hotel and go to Tulleys or one of the places... More

Room was clean and furnished with a modern look and the basic amenities. Just next door to the Shin-Osaka train station and Shinkansen, so it is very convenient. Some road noise even on the 16th floor. Restaurant was okay.

We had stayed at many hotels in different parts of the world, this was the first hotel that charges a fee for ice. When we complained to the staff at check-out, he just shrugged it off and gave no response. He was not the only one, all of the staff we dealt with lacked facial expression and were mechanical. Location... More
