I deliberately chose a non-Western hotel frequented mostly by Japanese during my stay in Osaka, Japan. The staff looked surprised (and maybe shocked) to see me walk in the lobby. Beautiful Japanese-style room, great bathroom, wonderful view, friendly staff. The location was the best though: right in the heart of Osaka's nightlife and shopping area. more

Stayed here 4 nights. Very nice hotel. Great location. Tip: Lobby is on 8th floor (i think)....took me a while to figure that out. Just get in left elevator and it will tell you inside which floor lobby is on. I stayed in one of the traditional rooms. Futons instead of beds. Very spacious by Japanese standards. Cute little ryokan with friendly staff. I recommend the kaiseki dinner. more
