I stayed here twice with family including 2 kids, This hotel is run by a friendly professional couple. The Triple room was awesome, the bed were good , the bathroom were tiny but clean can't complain. it will cost approx 1900 Yen approx 20 AUD from Osaka station. Universal Studio will cost approx 3000Yen 30 AUD. The breakfast is included.... More

My two friends and I enjoyed our stay in Family Inn Fifty's Osaka despite its location. The nearest station (Higobashi) is a 10 minute walk from the hotel but since it was winter when we arrived, it was a perfect way to immerse oneself in the city. If we had to walk during summer, then it would be a different... More

We stayed at Family Inn for two nights. From JR Station Bus # 88 takes you close to the hotel within 10 minutes. Note that the hotel is loccated a little offside the main shopping areas, making it a tranquil alternative from the busy city life. Our room was fine, providing us with all we needed. Though the interior appeared... More

Actually this hotel was much better than I was expecting. A small room but the size is actually large by Japanese standards. A clean hotel with a pretty decent continental breakfast. The location is pretty far away from Namba station. I would recommend just taking a taxi to the hotel from Namba if you are a family like us.

I requested a non-smoking room and was given a smoking. Couldn't sleep due to the thick smell of smoke and had to sleep with the windows open which wasn't actually allowed. Breakfast is ok. Location is pretty bad.

I stayed in a double room in Aug 2010. It's quite far away from shopping district. Rooms are okay but not expect too much! We have fresh bakery, egg and free drinks (juice, green tea, milk...) for breakfast. You can access internet with two computers provided and free wifi at the common area. I and my friends did enjoy the... More

The hotel staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, open minded and kind. Unlike some Japanese family owned accommodation, this hotel never infringes your privacy. Easy going. You will feel at home straight after the arrival. Easy access to the city centre and virtually every key sightseeing spot. Yet, it is calm and peaceful, where you will forget that you are actually... This is quite a good place to stay. It is fairly quiet even though it is in the middle of the city. The rooms are clean and tidy and the people are very nice. Good value for money.

The hotel is quite good in terms of: price - we found it to be reasonable cleanliness - yes, it was quite clean. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Airconditioning (heater) needed a bit of cleaning but it was fine nonetheless. Bathrooms were clean and towels replaced regularly. bathrooms come with a mini bath tub. breakfast - although they served the same... More

Firstly, I would like to say that all I usually need from hotel is clean bed and room, hot water and Internet access - these (together with price and location) are my main criteria for rating hotel value. I don't care if hotel has pool, room service, fancy rooms and lobby or superb view. I want to do some sight-seeing... More
