This hotel is a great value overall. The immediate neighborhood around the hotel isn't the best, but it is very near the Shinsekai area which has some interesting restaurants/bars and very near several different major subway and JR lines so it is super easy to get around the city. The staff were also very nice, and I liked the onsen.

2 nights at this 'hotel' in March 15.. Staff are friendly & helpful & the rooms are relatively clean. We booked a tatami room as there were no 'western rooms' available however I would advise against this if u desire sleep.. Very hard floors & very little sleep. Hallways fairly noise during the night & a constant cigarette smoke smell.... More

First time to Osaka. the hotel is near three stations, convenient to go airport and other places. The single room is not big, but enough to sleep and put my luggage. The staffs are nice. There are kitchen and big bathroom for guest. It is very convenient for traveler. I will be there next when I go to Osaka next... More

This hotel and its vicinity are my home away from home in JPN for the few years already - I've gone back there more than 10 times to enjoy the interesting people/places of Osaka downtown, which is highly recommended to everyone to savor Japan itself. The prices overall, including lodging, eating, souvenirs/sundries, etc., in these Nishinari/Dobutsuen-mae areas are also cheap... More

Apart from the fact that the building itself is very old and the wall is quite thin, this place was great! Even with that cheap price, you still have a TV, refrigerature, air-conditioner in your room. The microwave (I supposed) is located in every floor. (Because, unless you walk to the tsutenkaku area, there's really nothing around there. (There are... More

Incredible low price, the hotel owner can speak good English. The room is cozy while there is lady-only floor, and the public shower and spa is acceptable and clean. Location is close to subway and JR station.

Real neat place with kitchen, public baths for the full Japanese experience (and normal showers), friendly and english-speaking staff and free bike hire. We stayed for four nights and it was comfortable and cozy. Only a minute walk from Doubutsuen-mae subway station (Midosuji line) and also accessible by bike to neighboring stations like Namba. Basically, great locality and would definitely... More

I stayed at this hotel twice : in 2010 and 2011. Both times I stay at the women's only floor so I don't know about the other floors but my room was clean, no smell whatsoever. It's small but cosy, I rolled up the futon when I was not using it to have more space. The first time there was... More

I stayed here for two nights. Comfy room. Small but with air con for heating and WiFi. Bathrooms are on each floor but the showers are on the lower floor. Good 24 hour reception staff who spoke English and had loads of information. You can buy a discounted rail ticket from them back to Kansai Airport as well. There are... More
