I hade a wonderful stay here and the personals very good and very nice. Great place to meet nice people and it's close to the shin-imamiya station. And you can rent bikes for free here too easily get around.

It is one of my favorite hotels in Osaka and I came back for the second time because they upgraded my dorm bed to a private room in my first visit to Osaka. It is in the dirty and unsafe area in Osaka but nothing seemed dangerous to the tourists. Yes. some Japanese there smoke in the street and the... More

The Mikado is an excellent place to stay. You get a choice of western or traditional accommodation. You have an option to try the Japanese bath too! Rooms are clean and beds very comfy! Bit outside of town but easy access by metro! Super friendly staff and very helpful - loads of advices on arrival. Yusuke is the one to... More

If you go to the Mikado Hotel, you will not regret receiving a big bang for your buck. If you don't mind bonding with the opposite gender in the bathroom and tiny living spaces, you'll love your time at the Mikado. In addition to those unique benefits, Mikado has a mini-spa that is comfortable and relaxing for one person, but... More

When it comes to accommodation, my family and I aren't the pickiest types. Just as long as there's something to sleep in, a clean bathroom and a WiFi connection, we're fine. So when we got to Hotel Mikado in Osaka, we really didn't have any high expectations. Fortunately, the services it offered were a great deal for the hotel's value!... More

Firstly- Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The had plenty of advise for what to do and see in the area. Booked in here for a couple of nights in a western style room. The room smelt like moth balls, originally thought it was our new roommate but the scent didn't follow him to tokyo. Turns out... More

This hotel is a great value overall. The immediate neighborhood around the hotel isn't the best, but it is very near the Shinsekai area which has some interesting restaurants/bars and very near several different major subway and JR lines so it is super easy to get around the city. The staff were also very nice, and I liked the onsen.

2 nights at this 'hotel' in March 15.. Staff are friendly & helpful & the rooms are relatively clean. We booked a tatami room as there were no 'western rooms' available however I would advise against this if u desire sleep.. Very hard floors & very little sleep. Hallways fairly noise during the night & a constant cigarette smoke smell.... More

First time to Osaka. the hotel is near three stations, convenient to go airport and other places. The single room is not big, but enough to sleep and put my luggage. The staffs are nice. There are kitchen and big bathroom for guest. It is very convenient for traveler. I will be there next when I go to Osaka next... More

This hotel and its vicinity are my home away from home in JPN for the few years already - I've gone back there more than 10 times to enjoy the interesting people/places of Osaka downtown, which is highly recommended to everyone to savor Japan itself. The prices overall, including lodging, eating, souvenirs/sundries, etc., in these Nishinari/Dobutsuen-mae areas are also cheap... More
