I chose to stay in this hotel due to its close proximity to the subway. It took about 5 minutes to walk to Minamimorimachi station and was close to restaurants such as Mos Burger. It was very thoughtful for the restaurant to provide free supper on a daily basis. They offered a bowl of hot ramen at 9.30 to 11pm.... More

I was expecting a tiny room with an even tinier bathroom but I was really surprise it wasn't as small as expected. Check in was pretty smooth with no hiccup. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel provide free ramen noodles from 9.30pm onwards and there's a hot spring on the 8th floor of the hotel. There's a supermarket nearby... More

Another great stay at Dormy Inn. Great value for money - comfortable, clean, great staff performance, good breakfast, great location and a beautiful free onsen. Would be our choice of hotel if we returned to Japan

This hotel was nice and quiet. Clean like most of the places in Japan. They have free Ramen at night, and I have to say it wasnt an instant cooked ramen... It was a nice one. Ah! really good breakfast menu, but it close at 9:30am, pretty early for people who likes to sleep a little more when they are... More

We found this hotel via TA recs. Conveniently located next to Minami Morimachi metro station (exit 2 nearest), about 300m walk past two traffic lights. Staff were generally very nice with usually at least one front desk staff speaking basic English. We loved the breakfast buffet which shows how much care they put into taking care of guests. Free ramen... More

This is a beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms and a gorgeous public bath. The rooms were clean and probably the biggest I ever had in Japan while still being affordable. I regret not having tried the hotel's free evening soba. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful in general, but unfortunately very inflexible about guests in the rooms. I was... More

At ¥8,000 a night for a double room for two, Dormy Inn Umeda Higashi exceeded our expectations. The reception service was polite and efficient. Not only was the room clean, warm (with adjustable air conditioning) and equipped with a toilet and shower, there were numerous extras - substantial buffet breakfast, natural onsen bath, late-night ramen . . . - that... My wife and I stayed here during a 3 week trip around Japan & Korea, and we stayed here for 1 reason - the built-in spa. It is well worth it for a short stop-over. The hotel rooms are fairly standard - reasonable size, clean, comfortable. Not a lot more you can say other than that. The receptionists were friendly... More

This Dormy Inn in Osaka was a notch below the Dormy Inn Kyoto which I had experienced, mainly because of the inferior location and the hotel and rooms were not as new or nice as the one in Kyoto. Nevertheless, I appreciated the great service they provided me - the two ladies at front desk went out of their way... More

A late review for stay in Feb 2011.Chose this hotel because it has a natural onsen! The hotel is situated a bit far from the action (requires transfer and walking, nearest station is Minamimorimachi station. Walking distance is about 3 minutes. Nothing much around the hotel. Room was decent, comfortable bed. There weren't a bathtub in room as most of... More
