I spent a week at this hotel in a single non-smoking room. Rooms are basic but fully functional and cleaned daily. Beeing there for turism i was in just to sleep so didn't really used any of the hotel facility, the onsen looked promising though. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only donwside is its location a bit far from... More

Good location near a metro station, just 1 stop from Shin-Osaka JR station. Wifi is fast and works everywhere, nice staff as well. Beware if you are about to book a smoking room like I did. I've been smoking for 10 years but the smell was extreme. The room literally smells like an ashtray. You do get used to it... More

The staff were helpful and friendly. My main issue was with the very odd smell in the room (coffee? Or mould?!) and the TINY bed and room in general. The location was pretty good and easy to get around. I'm glad we only stayed two nights though, any longer in that space would have made me too claustrophobic!!!! The bed... More

Stayed in a non-smoking room in June. Rooms were small, but in comparison to those that I have stayed in Tokyo - this was definitely more spacious. We had free wifi in the room we got and it was relatively fast! Room service was good as well and rooms were cleaned throughout the whole stay. Counter staff were helpful as... More

The rooms are pretty small but packed with all you can expect from a Japanese business hotel. We got a non-smoking room and it was ok. Fast check-in and check-out, good enough LAN internet connection (no free wifi available, at least in the room we got). It is located within walking distance of Shin-Osaka station (10-15 minutes) which serves Shinkansen... More

Not that much to add to other reviews. Got a non smoking room and this was fine. Room size is on the small side. Staff is reasonably helpful. Didnt try breakfast of sauna. Location is very good - it looks like its out of town, but its close to the subway from where you can get to Namba in 15... More

Great location, less than 1 minute to check in, good onzen on the 2nd floor (for gents only) and good breakfast. Staff go out of the way to assist, fast lift thou limited tv programme. 1 minute walk to convenient stall but Internet speed is just average. No shops around as surrounded by apartments. Will be back if going to... More

This hotel is a Japanese business hotel. I think that's the first thing you must remember. There'll always be japanese businessmen in suits walking in and out of the hotel and at night, especially on the second floor at night where there's masssage chairs and Japanese bath(which is for men only, I think). The room was okay. It's bigger than... More

Hotel Claiton is near Midosuji line which makes it easily accessible when going to central Osaka. It is situated in a relative quiet area (except if your room is near the tracks of the Hankyu Line. The same line can also give you access to Kobe and Kyoto (although we didn't use it since we rode the train to Kyoto at... This is my second time stayed in Hotel Claiton Shin-Osaka. It's a good location, just 2 stations away from Osaka Station which only about 5mins away! The hotel's single room is small but it's good enough for me since I only sleep at night. Last time I was with my girlfriend so the room was much bigger. The environment around... More
