Main appeal of this hotel is convenience. Exit and turn left from Nagano station shinkansen gate, over and down a connected overhead bridge (with elevator), and it's there. Facilities are adequate, including a restaurant. Room size actually feels pretty comfortable too for a Japanese business hotel. This close to Nagano station, you do get some noise IF you open the... Remember there are 2 Hotel Sunroute Nagano. This one is on the East Exit. We went to one on the west side and had to reload the luggage again. Both are very close to the station. The one on the east side is bigger and quieter. It is just next to Nippon Rent-A-Car which is very convenient for us to... More

We stayed one night on our way through from Nozawa Onsen to Tokyo. We got confused between this Hotel Sunroute and the other - there are no English signs so look for the logo instead. The actual building is very large but on the other side of the JR station from the bus stops and shops. You'll need to cross... More

Great location if you are going to see the snow monkeys as the bus stop is just opposite the hotel. Also the train station is very near and easy to get to via the walk way across the road. Check in was easy, room was very clean and tidy, not the most modern but suited our needs 100% Bathroom was... More

Clean, good location, friendly staff, excellent room however bathroom lets it down a tiny bit as a little run down (but still very good). For the price of the room it's excellent value. The staff were extremely helpful and the location was perfect for the train station and seeing the sights. Would recommend.

We stayed in a triple room. The third bed was a fold out sofa and it was certainly a bit cosy with it folded out, but no more so than other Japanese hotels we have stayed in. We liked the price and the fact that we just needed to walk across the footbridge from the JR station and we were... More

This better than average hotel is located across the road from the train/bus station. Although it is a business hotel we had a clean comfortable twin room on the far side of the hotel. There was only some street noise if we opened the window. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was Internet/WiFi in the lobby. We used... More

Business hotel with very small rooms. Overlooking train station so there is some noise from trains most of the time. But it is good value and convenient if you need it. It is a little confusing that there is also a "Hotel Sunroute" which is on other side of the station.
