Close location to Nagano Station. Room was very quiet and clean. Only a few staff are able to speak English, but just enough to get by. Breakfast only had a small selection of Western food, but enough to fill you up.

Great location, great price, excellent staff, clean, welcoming, comfortable, the bed is a tad small but the room size is fine and the bathroom quite spacious and well equipped, buffet breakfast is mostly Japanese food but is fine. This was my third stay at this hotel and I will go back.

Great hotel. Its about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the train station, and is very easy to find. Very quiet rooms. Very comfortable beds. Great, friendly staff. Not far from the main street and supermarket.

We loved our stay. We were on the train line but we could nearly hear anything (the people who have commented otherwise might have been on a lower level or very very light sleepers). We had the breakfast there (1100 yen) and it was perfect for a full day ahead. The location is also great - walking it is 3... More

We booked this hotel based on price and boy were we surprised. From the first warm welcome to the size and cleanliness of the room everything was perfect. They also have a great breakfast buffet in the morning that was a great value. About a 10 minute walk from the station.

Nothing fancy, friendly staff, fast free wifi, clean, comfortable bed, quiet, good Japanese breakfast (skip the terrible scrambled "eggs"). $70 usd per night total, breakfast extra but only wanted it one of the two nights stayed. Not much of interest in immediate vicinity, though, for food or shops...gotta head back toward train station on main road. Chisun Grand Nagano(TIP:good hotel... More

After reading all of the Trip Advisor reviews on the Chisun Grand Nagano, we decided to stay here and make it our home base as we were in Nagano to ski, see the snow monkeys, etc. The hotels location was perfect. About an 8 minute walk from the Nagano transit station (trains and buses) so we had an easy time... More

Good value for money and a large clean room. Fresh towels, razor and toothbrush daily. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only a 5 to 10 minute from the station but cold and slippery on a January afternoon. Breakfast in the top floor restaurant was mostly Japanese but tasty and enjoyable.

Though, it's technically not that far from the station ( 400m ?), it feels far with luggage etc... especially when there are so many other hotels just across the road from the station. The room is much larger than most Japanese hotels in its price range. Not the easiest to find either as it is just out of sight line.... More

this hotel was very comfortable and great value. I spent about an extra fiver on one of their grand rooms. Having stayed in a number of hotels in Japan on my trip the room seemed huge. Great value for money. The staff were very friendly and our room was clean. Breakfast was yummy, a buffet of Japanese and Western food.... More
