After reading all of the Trip Advisor reviews on the Chisun Grand Nagano, we decided to stay here and make it our home base as we were in Nagano to ski, see the snow monkeys, etc. The hotels location was perfect. About an 8 minute walk from the Nagano transit station (trains and buses) so we had an easy time... More

Good value for money and a large clean room. Fresh towels, razor and toothbrush daily. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only a 5 to 10 minute from the station but cold and slippery on a January afternoon. Breakfast in the top floor restaurant was mostly Japanese but tasty and enjoyable.

Though, it's technically not that far from the station ( 400m ?), it feels far with luggage etc... especially when there are so many other hotels just across the road from the station. The room is much larger than most Japanese hotels in its price range. Not the easiest to find either as it is just out of sight line.... More

this hotel was very comfortable and great value. I spent about an extra fiver on one of their grand rooms. Having stayed in a number of hotels in Japan on my trip the room seemed huge. Great value for money. The staff were very friendly and our room was clean. Breakfast was yummy, a buffet of Japanese and Western food.... More

Stayed one night on way back to Tokyo. Only about 5 minute walk from station. Hotel is fairly big and rooms decent size. Excellent rate for room for one night. Staff very nice for check in and check out. All facilities great and good location for walking about town. Recommend

We booked a Grand Room and were happy with the size and cleanliness of the room. The staff are very friendly and although some don't speak english there is usually someone there to help. We went to the monkey park and loved it and found the easiest way to get there was by bus, the hotel have a timetable in... More

This was the first hotel that I stayed at on a long 3 week vacation to multiple cities in Japan. The hotel is great. The rate was great. The location is super. From the hotel you can see the train station. It is only a 15 minute walk. If you are hauling a big suitcase maybe you need a taxi... More

Our first stop on our JR rail tour was Nagano. We found the hotel easily; it was approximately a ten-minute walk northeast along the main road. We passed the Comfort Inn/hotel and approached an intersection. The hotel was just around the corner and easily accessible. The sign on the hotel was obvious. The reception was cordial. In fact, we had... More

Great hotel and a good price. Quite large (by Japanese standard) rooms and well equipped. Excellent staff. English no problems at all. Its a short walk to the railway and bus stations and also to the center of this delightful town with its maze of back streets containing a huge range of eateries, pubs, shops and convenience stores. The Hotel... More

We spent two nights in Nagano and stayed at the Chisun Grand. The Hotel is located a short 5 minute walk from the JR train station in Nagano. Checkin was a breeze, the staff we had spoke good English. We pre-booked the room for a rather reasonable rate. The rooms are rather spacious and have all the basics you would... More
