Pros : just the price, it IS very cheap comparing the other Cons : the wall itself very thin, we can hear our neighbours making love VERY LOUD ! the room itself is so standard, with just standard equipment the location is not so convinient, main attraction from this hotel is just the Fushimi Inari Shrine, altough you must walk... In fairness to this hotel, it's clean but they have poor amenities like free drinking water, they'll give you one bottle per guest for the whole stay unlike other hotels, drinking water is served in the room everyday 1/guest/day, if you ask for another bottle on your 2nd day they'll charge you for 100 yen although the amount is not... The hotel is about 1km walk from the Inari station in a residential area. The room was tiny by American standard but typical in urban Japanese cities I suppose. Would not recommend this hotel due to its poor value proposition.

Booked a non smoking semi double room with breakfast. When we got to the floor (7th) - no smell... But when we got into our room it smelt like smoke for sure. They bought up an air fresher spray, which I used all over the room and had to open the windows to air out the smell. Room is tiny,... More

This was our 2nd stay in this hotel, having stayed here on our first trip to Japan in Oct-Nov 2012. We honestly felt like we had returned home as this hotel is in a nice quiet area outside of the main city of Kyoto, with a number of small and friendly shops nearby. Of particular note is the 2nd hand... More

Stayed for 3 nights. We picked this one because of the availability around and — of course — the price. Pretty poor service, sleeping experience and a kind of a joke breakfast. Getting there — taxi, approx. 1500Y from Kyoto Station Check-in — OK, smooth, strange key policy (you have to return it every time you leave the hotel) Lobby... More

1st of all, we got a room with the aircond not working. 2nd, we got a room facing the other room in front which is barely 3ft away. With the aircond not working, we had to keep the windows open, but having to face the opposite room is just not it. The rooms are old and the smell of ciggies... More

Stayed for 3 nights. Location wise not the best but one bus line goes to kyoto station from near the hotel. Taxi from Kyoto station is 1000Y/15min. Closest station is Fukakusa on Keihan line. Near hotel in convenience store and further some restaurants. Walking distance to awesome fushimi inari shrine (go by nightfall, very atmospheric!). Hotel itself is showing age... More

The hotel it's at Fukakusa area, very calm and nice area to walk around. Very good hotel quality price, the building it's quite old but clean and comfortable. Very small bar area, limited breakfast offer but correct.

Excellent stay, friendly staff that can speak English fluently. 10 minutes walk from Fukakusa station. Near to Fushimi Inari Shrine that takes 15 minutes to walk from this hotel. You can even rent a bike for the day. Family mart in front of the hotel and other shops with walking distance. The room is small but comfortable. They even sell... More
