The Hotel has a mindblowing reception/lounge/restaurant interior design. We had a corner room with, unfortunately, view on the Red Cross building next to the hotel. The interior was modest with no frou frou. The congierge and it s bell boys and girls friendly and willing to give you all kinds of information. The beds are Japanese style so do not... More

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time here. Our great experience started at check in when we rolled through the doors bright red and promptly checked in. The room was clean, a little small with a large bathroom with an excellent shower. Staff were the real standouts for us here, super prepared with train timetables at hand and... More

This is a wonderful hotel, clean, comfortable, and with the best service I've ever had. We had reserved rooms for 5 days, and then at the last minute reserved an additional day unconnected to our longer stay. When we arrived the manager met with us and apologized profusely for being overbooked but immediately advised us that we had been booked... More

I was impressed with the Hyatt Regency Kyoto. It has an understated, simple elegance about it...no high-rise building, no over-the-top exterior decor or entrance, no flashy signage. Modern, clean lines define this property...and that theme can be seen in the lobby, restaurants, and rooms. Check-in was quick and simple with clear explanations of benefits and amenities, and concluded with a... More

The hotel is wonderful. The hotel feels very exclusive with the wonderful lobby. The staff is very Friendly and helpful. Also the bathrooms in the rooms are one of the begs I have seen in a hotel. The building itself is old, but the rooms are not. Would defiantly go back

Staff are motivated but not specially friendly, breakfast are great, size of the room is small but with a large and charming bathroom. Apparently not everybody could have nice view from the room. Ours is a high tall building right across blocking everything (literally right acorss) and of course the room is very dim. We have paid 220€ one night.... More

My daughter and I enjoyed our recent stay at the Hyatt. Very nice room for the price - spacious, well-appointed, comfortable beds, really nice bathroom. Common areas were also very nice. The Grill was very good for breakfast - portions (if you ordered them, rather than taking the buffet) were generous. Food at lunch was very good, but not excellent.... More

This hotel is great. The personnel is friendly and their English is far above the average you find in Kyoto. The japanese restaurant is very good (and not expensive). Breakfast is ok (coffe could be better but we must say, without aksing the waiter made us an espresso, did he see our reaction?) The rooms are ver cosy and the... More

We had a fantastic stay at the Hyatt. The staff where very friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic. Our room wasn't the largest however we spent most of our time exploring the city any way. My wife even forgot one of her dresses and they look after it's safe return. I didn't follow up on it for two weeks... More

Our family of five just returned from five nights at the Hyatt Kyoto as part of a 2-week, first time trip to Japan. I loved this hotel. It feels different from the typical Hyatt/business hotel. It's 3-4 stories high and has nice gardens surrounding the rooms. Our two rooms looked out onto rock gardens. They were on the first floor... More
