I have just given feedback directly to Hyatt about my stay at this hotel which they say will be posted on Tripadvisor, so I'm not going to give huge detail here but thought I'd review just to be sure something goes on. This is not, in my view, a 5 star hotel. The standard rooms are extremely small with very... More

Standard rooms here are much too small. Sound proofing between rooms is poor and the bathrooms are almost part of the bedrooms. curtains also don't keep out enough light. More 4 star than 5 star but clean and comfortable with good food and some excellent staff though not all. A bit out of the way for some sightseeing. So, not... More

This place is in a quiet location, nearby a very good curry place. Walkable to the subway. It's a spa theme hotel. Very nice interior decor. Top notch customer service. I liked how someone walked you to your room to make sure everything was okay.

Picked this hotel for room size. Wasn't disappointed. Could'nt really fault anything. Only thing is that is not that close to the station. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good place to stay if you are spending several days in Kyoto

Very convenient location to explore Kyoto. Next door to Sanjusangendo Temple and across the street from the Kyoto Museum. A bus stop in front of the hotel takes you to Kyoto Station, Gion, etc... The concierge staff is very helpful and always had good recommendations for dining.

This is a delightful and perfectly kept, architecturally refined and interesting 1970s (but elegant) hotel, with wonderful gardens, terrific service, excellent rooms, and really terrific food for days we wanted to stay in and have something simple/more familiar/American. We took one child with us. Very very happy with this hotel (and we are picky).

We were a group of 4 friends traveling to Japan and stayed at the Hyatt Regency Kyoto for 3 too short nights… The hotel is so cozy and gives a fantastic vibe immediately when you enter. The staff is super professional (and all speak great English, which is bonus in Japan), the rooms are very well organized. I loved the... More

Having just visited Japan for the 3rd time I am delighted to recommend the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka & the Hyatt Regency in Kyoto as 2 very comfortable establishments that offer a warm, friendly, personal & helpful service in 2 exotic locations. The Concierge's in both Hotels helped enormously in planning our stay via email before we left home. We will... More

A good hotel makes all the difference and on our 1st visit to Japan we have been made most welcome thanks to the staff here. Rooms are large, uber clean, very comfortable which helps. We have mastered the bus system so the locations seems convenient and whilst it,is away from the business and restaurant areas the hotel has excellent restaurants.... More

As with everywhere in Japan the welcome was exceptional at this ultra modern Hotel. A five minute taxi ride from the train station it is perfectly placed to walk to the the Fushimi Inari shrine and the old town. Breakfast is recommended just for the presentation. The room we requested was for a couple with two young kids, it was... More
