Very comfortable, very modern and very pleasant – but I forgot that I was in Japan while visiting. We certainly got everything you’d expect from a five-star hotel, but it felt a little like there was just a list of tick boxes being checked, too much like a product being sold rather than a memorable experience. Everybody was very polite... More

I was so impressed that last day I stopped for a while before catching the taxi cab and told the young Japanese girl how pleased I was with their service (overall from the city) to tourists. Perfect experience: great view, tasteful details in the room for my 15 year daughter birthday, very good location, excellent concierge, no surprises in billing,... More

The hotel is unique. I love the Hotel Lobby is made with a beautiful design of wood materials and at night it has neon lighting. Rooms are nice and quite. I love the closet space and bathrooms small but very creative with their space. Buffet Breakfast is great and Evening Dining is good too. Centrally located. Staff is very helpful... More

We stayed here for six nights. The hotel is well equipped and has a very subtle, airy style to it; only downside is lack of indoor pool; however, there is a sauna. There are spacious conference facilities, which is reflective of the hotel's business style. Rooms are not huge, but a decent size; wardrobe space is limited though. Staff, especially... More

I stayed here for 3 nights just after New Years 2016 with my partner. The atmosphere in the hotel is really relaxing and warm. The staff were extremely helpful at all times (even at this busy time of year) - from check in, to showing us our room and answering any questions before leaving during the day to look around... A shower and a bath and a seperate toilet. The windows can open. The staff is very friendly and helpfull, especially... More

Beautiful large rooms. Decor is sophisticated but understated. Windows that actually open to let in fresh air. Staff are charming and understand the true meaning of hospitality. Well located a short taxi ride from shopping and restaurants. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!

We stayed in this hotel for one night in early Jan-16. The staff during check in was very polite and helpful, and spoke good English. They have actively offered us help in moving the luggage to our room. The room was clean and big enough, especially when comparing to business hotels in Japan. I love the bath tub and shower... This hotel oozes subtle class and has a great location off the city grid The fact that it is not that close to the city means everything is a short taxi ride away (6-8 USD) to the Kyoto station and from there you can start anywhere to all the attractions It's quiet tucked in a great street and close by...
