Really enjoyed our three nights at this hotel. The staff is warm, friendly and extremely helpful. The concierge made dinner reservations for us and helped me organize a day of sightseeing and shopping. The gift shop is lovely and upscale, but pricey. We had breakfast in our room all three mornings, and it was delicious, especially the coffee. The complementary... More

I stayed at the Hyatt with my wife. The lobby is very cool, unique, modern Japanese wooden style design with the restaurant in the same area. The room was cosy but not too small and well furnished. Good quality amenities and bathroom products as you expect too. I liked the location, not far from some temples and a short drive... More

When originally looking at hotels for our weekend away to Kyoto, I must say I struggled a bit with choosing a location. I hadn't appreciated how spread out Kyoto is, and indeed how the 'must see' sights are also in far flung corners of the overall city. The Hyatt Regency seemed to be in a good location for the main... This hotel has 5 upper floors and a basement floor. We were checked into a corner room in the connecting building and was told it was bigger than the standard. We are very pleased with the room. It has a lot of traditional woody decor with Kimono Fabric as the headboard which i find to be very unique. The hotel... More

This is a great hotel in an unlikely location, a little out of the way you'd usually expect a hotel like this to be located in. But taxi is not expensive, so we found ourselves returning to the hotel most nights by taxi from a nearby point. A bus ride for two people is 500 yens, and taxi (from the... More

'Serenity' is a word that came to my mind if I were to describe the Hyatt Regency Kyoto in one word. This was probably due to its location and the fact that we had the garden rooms. We enjoyed hearing the waterfall sound every time we opened our windows. The overall design of the hotel is simple but beautiful. The... More

Was upgraded upon check-in. Highly efficient layout of the lobby. Room size is larger than expected. Ask for a view facing the garden if possible. And do try out the cocktails at Touzan. Concierge does an excellent job at securing places at the popular restaurants around Kyoto.

Stayed for 5 nights, Concierge services superb for booking Michelin-starred restaurants. Mari is one of the mangers and a training supervisor at this Hyatt. She is also a great foodie and knows her way around all of the restaurants in Kyoto, from popular (and excellent) Ramen spots to the finest Michelin-starred places in the world. Stay at this hotel and... More

This top-ranked Hyatt shines in a quiet corner of the city across from the Kyoto National Museum and next to the remarkable Sanjusangendo Temple. Outside, minimalist architecture is folded into the neighborhood by a grove of bamboo. Inside, blonde wood and clean lines make you feel like you are in a very upscale urban retreat. At best the hotel’s monochromatic... More

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Regency Kyoto . The hotel is located approx 8-10 minutes from the main train station. The room is a bit on the small side , so book a higher grade room if you require bigger room. Staff are very proactive, efficient & courteous. Their English level is very good.Breakfast is our high... More
