Absolutely loved it. Great hotel, tastefully decorated rooms, great view of the garden from the restaurant. Wifi relatively cheap and very fast. Concierge was very helpful. Super comfy beds. The only points to note is breakfast - tried the buffet, tried the a la carte breakfast, and they were equally bad (but if you get a window table, the view... More

Wifi is free for guests who book via the Hyatt website. They guarantee that they have the best rate so why use any other booking site? This is a solid hotel with great service, lots of bowing and plenty of smiles. The rooms are very tastefully decorated too. One thing I would recommend to the hotel is to charge guests... More

This hotel is situated somewhat at the outskirts of Kyoto, but has plenty to offer. The hotel offers a free taxi from Kyoto Shinkansen station. The lobby is large, bright, modern and luxurious. Staff at reception very professional and efficient We took a garden room which was on the ground floor and looked out into the garden. Room was very... More

If there is a flawless hotel, this comes pretty close to hitting the mark. The staff are exceptional, responsive, and go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. My room was very large by Japanese standards and the mattress is what one expects from the Hyatt. The bathroom was also large and the amenities very... More

To be very brief, this hotel is simply a great choice when staying in Kyoto. Everything from the early check in (we arrived at 9h30) until the check out two days later went as you would expect from a Hyatt hotel. The only thing that bothered us a bit is that you need to pay for wi-fi access in the... More

We arrived early and had lunch in the grill whilst waiting for our rooms. Pleasant lunch of burgers with a glass of red, just the thing to get ready for our afternoon adventures. Rooms were excellent and beds supremely comfortable. Bathrooms were great with a glassed wetroom. Lobby was lovely with all the fretted timberwork. A little way out of... More

We enjoyed our three nights at the Hyatt Regency very much. We also loved Kyoto! The decor was unusual but very striking, especially in the bedrooms. The hotel was comfortable and the staff polite and helpful, as of course they are throughout Japan. The hotel was a longish walk from the Gion area, and the centre of town, but it... More

Stayed here at the end of our holiday in Japan. This is a beautifully designed and practical hotel. Really comfortable bed with more than enough room for 2 people. Our standard room was spacious and came with a well-equipped bathroom with the separate shower/bath combination found in the better Japanese hotels. Service staff were excellent throughout. 5 minutes or less... More

Stayed in Hyatt Regency Kyoto for one-week long vacations at the end of March 2013. Excellent hotel with modern rooms, larger than other comparable hotels in Japan. Location 10-15 min walk from Kyoto Railway Station, or 5 min taxi (Y700), opposite Kyoto National Museum, and next door to Sanjusangen-do Temple. Bus stop (RAKU BUS 100) to other Kyoto attractions in... More

Impressing architecture, location slightly out but can walk in 15 min to Kyoto JR and 20 min to Kyomizu Temple. Overall a very nice hotel, just felt the rooms were quite small comapred to other hotels we stayed in Japan for the same price. Not many places around if you do not want to have breakfast in the hotel -... More
