Very friendly staff with nice and comfortable rooms for the price. The hotel is within walking distance of many attractions such as kyoto station & a-cho entertainment arcade. It's also. Short walk to a few small restaurants and convenience stores which is great for when you're hungry. All-in-all it's a neat and tidy place to stay; would highly recommend.

Traveling with only iPhones/iPads, the wired internet in the room wasn't particularly useful. If you can bring along a wireless router, I would definitely recommend it! We actually ended up walking back down toward the station to the Yodobashi Camera electronics store and spending $30 on a tiny USB-powered "hotel router" so that we could have WiFi in our room.... My bf and I had a fantastic stay here in April 2013. (Note: TripAdvisory won't let me select the actual date we stayed here. We indeed stayed in April 2013, not Sept 2013.) Price: The cost for 5 nights was $583 USD, and did not include breakfast. We thought the accommodations suited the price very well, and was a great... More

I stayed over one night in this hotel. It is around a 15 minute walk from Kyoto station and although it does have a handful of gardens/temples close by I found my stay in my next hotel right next to Kyoto station a great deal more convenient for travelling around Kyoto along with having a selection of restaurants. This hotel... More

I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel not far from Kyoto Station, and this hotel fit the bill. The staff were incredibly professional and kind. The hotel was pristine, and the fresh flowers in the lobby were a nice touch. I was bummed that my room rate did not include breakfast (as Expedia indicated it did), but I found... More

Very affordable and spotlessly clean. The top floor bath with a view of kyoto tower is a must. Short walk to Tojo station but we walked to Shijo karasuma/ santo kawaramachi area easily. I booked a single to share with my 5y o son and they upgraded us to a twin room. Thank you!

We stayed for 3 nights as part of a wider Japan trip and found the Aranvert to be absolutely fine. It was clean, tidy and quiet and we would gladly come back. The staff were always very helpful , smiling and courteous and the room itself was spacious, tidy and comfortable and given the price of hotel rooms in Kyoto... More

This affordable hotel is 2 minutes walk from Gojo Station which is one stop away on a subway line from Kyoto Station. You can also around 15-20 minutes from Kyoto Station. We stayed here very recently for 3 consecutive nights during the busy Golden Weekend. Free Wi-fi is available only at the lobby and you need to bring your own... More

We stayed here for 5 nights as part of an OAT's trip originating in the United States. We were told that OAT's had recently added this hotel to their roster due to an increase in number of travelers. The hotel has a good location to many sights that a tourist might want to see including the Kamo River which is... More

The hotel is modern, clean and everything in the room was in working condition. You need a network cable to connect to the internet and the hotel loaned one to me. The breakfast was delicious, it was well worth the extra $10 or so that they charged me. It comprised of both Japanese western options in a beautifully set buffet.... More
