My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights on our trip around Japan traveling on a group tour. The Travel Agency had booked the rooms for our group. We found the hotel clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet at the hotel is very good and one can find almost everything. We found the service extremly friendly. The hotel... More

We stayed for 3 nights, hotel is close to Nishiki market & main st. Nice little Japanese restaurant next to the hotel. Only 2 subway stops from Kyoto station. Wifi only available in the reception. If you only had 1 or 2 nights in Kyoto probably wouldn't stay here as there are many hotels right at Kyoto station & lugging... More

Kyoto has a different dynamic compared to Tokyo, and so has the hotels. This one is not bad, but definetely not good either. Consider all options and choose the one with best value. Location: very good, the strongest decision point to stay there. Near subway and bus stops. It even possible to walk to the main train station (like I... More

I stayed in this hotel on November 2013 for not more than couple of days. It was part of a bundled trip from japanican, it was a really nice autumn view in Kyoto btw.... We have limited time to see Kyoto...it feels that we need to come back of course, but overall, the hotel is nice and clean. The best... More

Ok ok ok. It was small, BUT THIS IS JAPAN!! The bathroom was very nice with a good-sized bath-tub and the staff was incredibly kind and patient (I don't speak any Japanese). The room was very clean and suited me just fine. More than anything it was the LOCATION that sealed the deal. It was right smack in the middle... More

I had really good time in this hotel. Location is quite good. Parking fee is ok too. I stayed in the hotel's suite on 14t floor. Although suite was small, it was quite functional. I was particularly impressed by the huge window in the bathroom. There are couple of nice restaurants nearby, and the Starbucks is next to the hotel.... More

This was my second stay in this hotel, I find the location, price and facilities of the hotel are good for exploring kyoto. The hotel staff was also very friendly. The hotel is near from Shijo station, and also good to get on to subway line or hankyu rail line.Using hankyu you can even make a trip to osaka in... More

During my two week visit to Japan, this was the SMALLEST room I ever stayed in .... designed for a midget. Air-conditioning set to one temperature - hot - either low, medium or high fan settings otherwise it had to the off! Fortunately the windows could opened to provide fresh air. Lousy wifi - only worked in lobby. Staff not... More

The room rate was so economical that I wondered how good the hotel would be. It exceeded my expectations. It is relatively new and while the rooms are small, they are very comfortable and everything works as it should. Wifi is only available in the lobby; a minor inconvenience. The big plus is its location. It's only a few steps... More

This hotel is very good in terms of cleanliness, location and service except the room was hot as hell. 27 degrees C is just too hot and no air con working at this time of year. I complained and all they could do was unlock the window which made it very dangerous as the balcony is 30cm high! This action... More
