This hotel is about a 10 min walk from the main station. As you walk in the lobby it feels like a 5 star hotel and the staff a very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are really clean and look new. Yukatas are provided for use which are really comfortable. There is also an onsen which is great for relaxing... More

First thing - the hotel is really close (a 5 minute walk) from the station - if you take a cab, you'll get a really upset driver. I stayed here three nights, and it's hard to find fault. The staff at the desk were helpful and spoke good English, the hotel is clearly relatively new, and the room was reasonably... More

Reasonable business style hotel. 10 minutes walk from Kyoto main station. Good size rooms (by Japanese standards). Reasonable value for money. Clean and modern public bathing facilities. Staff were polite and efficient and could adequately converse in English.

My room was small but not too small by Japanese standard. It was clean. The coin-operated washer/dryer was very handy. The passcode for the female public bath is changed daily so make sure that you get a new code from the front desk daily.

My wife & I stayed at the Almont in October 2013. The hotel is nearly new and is well-appointed. The cleanliness is outstanding and the staff have good English and are very helpful. The hotel is situated just 5 minutes on foot from JR Kyoto railway station (with Shinkansen Services, a JR Office & oodles of shopping). Free WIFI is... More

The hotel appears to be brand new: the room was a bit small (as usual in Japan) but well furnished and clean. Staff was kind and helpful and spoke good English. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from JR Kyoto Station, so if you plan to travel around the area using the trains (as I did) it is very... More

I've been in Kioto last week, with my gf and for this journey, our budget for accommodation was around 75-100 Euros per night in Japan. I’ve stayed 4 nights in Almont Kioto I really enjoyed my journey in this hotel. Location: the hotel is 6 minutes walking south of the Kioto central station. Hotel should give a bit more information... More

Brand new hotel which most taxi drivers and other hotels' concierge have no clue about. Get out from the south Kyoto station exit, through the underpass opposite avanti supermart and you should be in the hotel in 10m max. Its a block behind the Centnovum. The onsen is a nice touch: nice and relaxing after all those long walks in... More

Great location near the Kyoto Station, so easy to walk to a central transportation hub. Super-clean. Buffet breakfast was extra $ for us but was fun and tasty. The room was perfectly fine, but we booked one that was just too small for us, especially for 8 nights. There were two of us and we didn't have enough room for... More

good facility, excellent service. The Hotel personnell has been very kind. The hotel area, near the station, is not so beautiful. The room was very little but confortable and clean. The air conditioner didn't work very well.
