Quite pricey for twin room, no breakfast, shower head spoilt, no complimentary parking for scooter. Plus point: Location. Good! Near to Kyoto station and Kyoto Tower. Received Kyoto tower discount coupons and 10% discount coupons for shopping at the tower souvenir shops at level 1. Staff was quite friendly. Able to speak little English.

Kyoto Tower Hotel Annex is a short walk (~4 min) from the Kyoto Station. Once you exit Kyoto Station, turn left and cross the traffic light (you will see Lawsons opposite). Continue heading left till you see another Lawsons, cross the road (it has diagonal crossings) and you'll see the hotel! Staff doesn't speak much English and was a tad... More

This hotel smelled pretty terrible in all aspects. The lobby was a smoke filled tiny room. One table had a no-smoking sign, and yet, 1 meter away there was an indoor ashtray with people smoking. Constantly. Every single time we entered/exited the hotel. Additionally, our floor was supposedly a non-smoking floor. There was a non-smoking sign on every door. Yet,... More

Thank you for your Contribution. I apologize for the smell smorking in our hotel`s lobby and room. Our lobby is small but we put an ashtray. We had to pay attention about the smoke of the cigarette. We must perform deodorization and the cleaning of the room thoroughly. I am sorry for causing you such distress. Breakfast Buffet is very... More

Located but 5min walk from the main Kyoto JR line, it was really convenient for the budget traveller such as me and even threw in in a free admission ticket to the Kyoto Tower! Budget as it is, the staff lacked the enthusiasm in greeting customers like other places. The rooms were not outright dirty but dust was easily spotted... More

However,I'm very sorry we meet a visitor without enthusiasm in all sincerity. As I received indication, review education of the staff. And I am sorry our bathroom is small. Close to the Kyoto rail terminal and all the shops you need for food and all the things you forgot to pack is the annex of the Tower hotel. Efficient service at check in with a lift to get you to your room. once there you may need to turn the heat down or off and then find the high... More

It was the most horrible hotel we have been to in Japan thus far. Firstly, the room was dirty. The floor un-vacuumed still had crumbs of someone's breakfast scattered under the table and on the covering of my bedsheet was someone's period blood. It was absolutely horrific to find after having tucked into bed in the middle of the night.... More

Let's start from the "pro": it is very well located. Then the "cons": - we travel in 3 (1 kid) and a triple room must be large enough to open at least the luggages. we needed to ask for a Room change (only possyble the day after) 'caus it was literarly impossible to open the bags! - A toilette can... We had 3 nights here, 3 in a room. It is a good base for Kyoto, very handy for the rail station which is just around the corner. Room is a bit small, with a small bathroom, but it served its purpose. Plenty to eat and drink around the hotel. We never ate in the hotel. Its a standard hotel... More

I stayed at the Kyoto Tower Hotel Annex for one night and was very impressed. Admittedly, on first impressions I found the room to be very small, but actually it was very cosy and homely. I had booked a single room but found I had been given a twin room which was a nice surprise. The rooms also have a... More

The location next to Kyoto station is great for getting around to the sites. Also, the station itself has a lot of options for eating. The room was small, and not nice by any means, but our experience was good. The bathroom looked like what they have on cruise ships, and the bedding wasn't great. We had a nice window... More
