Spent two nights here, very efficient staff, great breakfast. Not far from Kyoto station.I don't know why some folks complain about the room size-perhaps they are intending to live in the hotel? The staff at the front desk will give you a map of local eateries and directions to two major places to visit. The hotel is very close to downtown-about fifteen minutes walk.

The room was very clean, but a little small. There is the bed, a sofa and a desk in a ~13m² room. The mattress very comfy and it felt very clean. You get slippers and a pyjamas. The bath cabin was also very clean. It featured a washlet/bidet toilet. Location was good. ~20min walk from the station. Bus stop directly... More

Had pleasant 2 nights stay. Room was very clean, as usual room size is small. Located by the main road with bus stop right in front on the hotel (super convenient). Within walking distance to Nishiki Market and Gion Area. Recommend to get unlimited bus day pass if you plan to visit tourist area.

We booked a doubleroom for three nights in Kyoto. By japanese standards you get big room, by european standards the size is average. We were really satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and friendliness of the staff. There was always an english speaking person at the front desk of the hotel. The rooms are nicely furnished and the location... More

We have booked for the double room and this hotel really showed us how valuable the space in Japan is. The room is really small with the double bed at the end of the room near the window. There is a big sofa in the corner of the room which can turn into the extra bed for you in case... More

The 4 of us stay in triple room in December 2011 (after our Tokyo trip and before Osaka). Our room is at the corner and bigger compared to standard room. The bed is "Tempur" (very nice). 24 hours stores are very close as well as many restaurants. The beef bowl restaurant is also fine for a limited budget around 400... More

Firstly, the beds! They were the memory-foam type ones that feel very hard when you first lie on them, but gradually get better. Also only 1 pillow per bed -- a bit stingy! Room was massive though with a separate couch and desk (floor 7) and big wardrobe. Lots of room to move. No free wi-fi throughout the hotel was... More

Stayed there for 2 nights. Walking distance from downtown, shopping district, bars and restaurants. Bus stop outside the hotel (15 mins from Kyoto train station). Internet was slow.

From here you can walk / take a bus to most of Kyoto's major attractions. Kiyomiza-dera Temple Ginkaku & Kinaku temples plus the Gion " Geisha" Districts. The hotel is clean and staff have multilingual personal to assist any nationality . An excellent multinational breakfast is provided on the upper level panoramic restaurant. Our visit was during the winter, umbrellas... More

The very ideal thing about this hotel is it is very close to where the action happens in Kyoto. The entrance of the hotel also is the buses for Kyoto station thus very accessible. You can also view the east mountain where important Kyoto temples are. And the canal with restaurants Check in was very easy and the staff were... More
