comfortable in every way, rooms are much more spacious than their Tokyo counterparts. Polite and helpful staff helped me with my proposal, appreciate that. Great location on top of the subway station, beautiful lobby, full amenities. Recommended.

We stayed in Winter, and enjoyed excellent facilities and value for money. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, the staff are excellent and helpful (English and Japanese spoken here), and we loved the choice of restaurants in the hotel basements. The hotel is secure, and beautiful. Would stay here again when visiting Kyoto.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in January 2015. The rooms are clean spacious. We stayed a few nights before at the Hilton in Tokyo and the rooms are much bigger than there. I can understand because it's out of Toyko but of the 2 I'd rather spend more time in Kyoto. The beginning of the shopping area... More

Just spent a few days Kyoto. Stayed at hotel okura. Would recommend as the place to stay when visiting this beautiful city. Staff were extremely helpful, polite and the rooms were clean with huge bathrooms. Can't sing my praises enough for the staff, who are tops on my list of all the different countries I have visited. Location is excellent... More

The Kyoto Hotel Okura is a wonderful hotel. Our stay was made better by the incredibly helful concierge eho always had a smile. The room is spacious and just simply comfortable. That the hotel is just few minutes from the subway station made it even better. Will definitely stay at the Kyoto Hotel Okura again for sure.

It was a Great Location, lovely hotel but small rooms. The beds were really comfortable and the location could not be beat right across from the train station. The decor was really nice and the toiletries were super.

We stayed here two nights from Dec 26-28. We booked through Japanican.com, which seemed to have some inventory not even on the hotel website. We got a very nice corner room with a size particularly generous given that we were in Japan, plenty of room for my wife and I and two young children. The hotel is on top of... More

My Husband booked this hotel months ago for our honey moon but the only available room was a twin share room and to our surprise when we arrived we were given a queen size room with two nice origami cranes on the desk waiting for us. The concierge was top class in handling all things minor or major, one of... More

We stayed two nights in early December. We tried to get one of the updated rooms, but as it was high season in Kyoto, we had to settle for a standard twin room. Our room was clean and comfortable. The beds were good, and the bedding was very nice. We had a nice view of the mountains. Truly, the room... More
