Stayed at hotel hokke club twice now and it continues to live up to expectations. Location - Right next to kyoto station, kyoto tower and plenty of shops. 20-30 mins to osaka and nara. 7/11 and lawson a block away. Service- front desk speaks English and are polite. Cleaners do a great job! Price- affordable Luggage hold- yes

We stayed 4 nights at Hotel Hokke Club Kyoto - our first stay at this hotel, although we've visited Kyoto several times before. Our double room was tiny - maybe one of the smallest we've stayed in for two people in Japan. I'm thinking perhaps this room is maybe the same size as a single room, except with a double... More

Affordable, clean hotel in a great location - right across from Kyoto Station. We weren't able to check in early, but they hold bags and there is free wifi throughout the hotel and lobby. Great location by Kyoto Station and very near the buses into the main tourist spots in the city. Cheaper for taxi's as well to many of... More

We had to book this hotel last minute when our other accommodation fell through. Being Spring/last minute the price was a lot higher then you would standardly pay, and that of course effects my review...the hotel is on the old side, with a room window that opened to the air conditioner unit- so the ambience isn't great. BUT the hotel... More

This was my third stay at the Hokke. I previously went to Kyoto for the sakura season, and this third trip was the same reason. The hotel looks discrete and small, but its location in front of Kyoto's main station & bus terminal makes it very convenient for any traveler in Kyoto who wants to get around quickly. Previously our... More

It's just opposite the Kyoto station and bus stations, making it convenient to move around and get good food. Sometimes a guy in minivan would open a takoyaki stall nearby at night. Had a pleasant stay, hotel has coin laundrette and dryer, nightwear, amenities and towels, making it very convenient and comfortable. Unexpectedly quiet despite the location. Much recommended.

This hotel has extremely small rooms, even by the standard of the other japanese rooms we stayed in during our trip. The internet works, but is somewhat spotty. The main attraction of this hotel is the excellent location near the train station and the good price. The rooms are clean and well taken care of. This is still a good... More

Hotel does not have windows that you can look out of. The rooms are small but having a window will make the stay bearable. The room we were given was small and the window will not open nor can you look out of it. The glass pane is glazed so you cannot see anything. It is like a jail cell.... More

The hotel is walking distance from the Kyoto train/subway station. It's next to a Yodabashi mall. Next to a Starbucks and a Mcdonald's. The staff can speak English and the lobby has a couple of restaurants. The room we stayed at had a tiny shower/tub area but I found it cute and quaint. The toilet is your basic Japanese complicated... More

Checked my large roller bag early at 0900h and confirmed the checkin time was 1400h-1500h at the Hotel Hokke Club Kyoto and off I went getting a full day in touring Kyoto. I came back at 2100h and checked in for 4 nights getting a great rate through Orbitz. My luggage was waiting at reception for me to check in.... More
