Of the 4th hotel in Japan this has to be the worst. The smallest of rooms. Worst smell. View straight into another room. Grotty old slippers worn out by many feet. Grime in the bathroom. Everything is tired and showing it's age. Furthermore, i have absolutely no idea why my lamp shade is still wrapped in its plastic (which is... More

We stayed for three nights. I would have given the hotel an average score but the bed was beyond firm both my wife and ached the next morning. The staff were quite cordial and the hotel does have an onsen so that was one benefit. The location is good as it's close to the train station, which is way we... More

I did not like this hotel, I booked on travelocity, the photos are missleading, starting with the building's photo, the room is smaller than a ship's cabin. Worn down and the view is to an alley, for an average 180 usd I think it is nonsense. Dont book a smoking room the smell is disgusting. I have booked many hotels... More

This hotel is not as good as others from the APA brand. However, it is good value for money. The room is small, but not smaller than other hotels in Japan. There is nothing really bad to say other than the rooms are a bit old.

We were looking for a simple hotel for when we reach Kyoto after a long flight from Dubai & a 75 min train trip from Osaka Airport. We have been very happy to find the hotel close to the train/bus stations & the restaurant/shopping area. Although the room are was small (for european standards), it was fully equipped & very... The hotel is conveniently located about 5 minutes from Kyoto station, although there is another APA hotel on the way, closer to the station. I had read that many guests mistakenly go to that hotel first and are redirected to the correct hotel, and saw it first hand when walking past that hotel – two businessmen walked out the hotel... Very convenient for Kyoto station though not the first APA hotel you get to as they have three in the area. Room was small but about the size I have found normal in Japan. Breakfast did not have much European food.

he internet was very good. BUT This has to be the worst hotel that I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. The rooms were tiny, the pillows were horrendous and I could headbutt the toilet door while sitting on the toilet. I also had to pay for a room just to house my luggage. If traveling with family,... I shared a room with a friend on the first night and it was small and stank really badly of smoke (we literally had to sleep with the window wide open all night). I booked a separate room for the second night and thankfully I got a non-smoking one, however it was still small & very warm. My friend was... More

Five minute walk from Kyoto train station and bus lines. In front of the train station you will find the underground malls where there are a lot of restaurant (be careful, at 10 p.m. they close) and an information point (very useful for us). The hotel is clean and comfortable with english and japanese buffet breakfast (if you pay it... More
