Our hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to Kyoto Railway Station and to the Bus exchange, which made it very handy to travelling to all parts of Kyoto, as well as to Osaka and Nara. The hotel has a regular shuttle bus to take clients to and from the Station. We stayed there for six... More

A nice blend of the Japanese experience but still english accommodating. The room was well outfitted for three as requested. Each person had their own bed. The "Rathskeller " style bar was very welcome and had a good feel at the end of a long day. The staff was extremely helpful. We would certainly stay there again. Rick B.

The stand out feature of the hotel is that it has a good indoor pool, 20 metres long. The health club closes at 8pm; I went in twice at around 6.30pm and had the pool to myself for a full hour each time, so I could splash without annoying anyone. The pool is an expensive extra, at around 2,100 yen... More

The hotel is close to Kyoto Station and the shuttle service is quite convenient, one of the rooms that we were allocated was full of heavy smoke smell, so please be mindful of asking for a smoke free room if you are looking to book. Despite telling them that the smoke is unbearable, no effort by the hotel team to... More

We've stayed here several times previously several years ago but decided to visit Kyoto over the holidays and see how the hotel was faring celebrating its 45th Anniversary. Little has changed in the hotel. The rooms are still ample for Japan, comfortable, well furnished and quiet. The wifi works everywhere and well. I suspect there are relays in each room... More

The double room we stayed in was the largest one we had for our entire trip of 5 different ryokans and hotels. We loved the clean spacious room and how it was a 5 minute walk from Kyoto station. The shuttle bus service was also very convenient and it was really helpful when we checked out and had to get... More

The hotel was lovely. Older style and quite close to shopping and eateries. The staff, as were all Japanese that we encountered, were extremely polite and helpful. My son had purchased a Pokemon soft toy and at the end of the day, we realised it was missing. I called the front desk to see if they had found the toy,... More

The hotel staff members are really friendly and efficient. They are always ready to help. Room wise is ok. Don't compare with the W Hotels or Hyatts. But the rooms are clean and well equipped with toiletries. Overall enjoyed my stay here.
