Nice hotel in a good location, small rooms as is normal in Japan but clean and tidy. Very small bathroom. Staff friendly and efficient and helped us to make bullet train and ferry to Korea bookings. The hire bikes from hotel were good and a great way to get about the city. I would stay here again as price was... More

The hotel has its shortcomings- like tiny rooms, tiny bathrooms but that’s Japan and space is limited. On the positive side is the location- right next to the subway station and the bus stop across the street, the friendly staff, especially the Concierge ladies were tremendous and could help out with all the transport queries. Since all the temples and... More

I did book this last-minute so perhaps the choice of room was limited, but I went for a "superior queen" room and got a tiny room with no proper window! There was a window, but it was made of glass bricks, so you couldn't even look into a courtyard or see what the weather was like. We didn't complain as... More

The hotel is in a fantastic location in Kyoto where you can walk easily to many attractions or walk 100 m to the Subway station where you can easily navigate which station you need to go to. The negative of this hotel is the rooms..they are so so small, the bed was hard as nails and there is no insulation... More

Accessible bus to temple visit. you could purchase the unlmited bus ride at the hotel vending machine for 500Yen. The hotel is also located along the shopping street which leads you to kawaramachi shopping district and Nishiki market.

I stayed here once when I found a very reasonable rate and thought the value was really good. My room, while a little dated, was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I had questions. I didn't try the food here so can't comment on that. The location is fantastic, close to downtown Kyoto, Kamo... More

A very convenient hotel, located near the Sanjo area. Provides fast access to many areas like Gion, Kyoto imperial palace, Nishijin and many more. It never took more than half hr to visit a place of note in Kyoto. The room was modest, comfortable and reasonably large. The staff are very very helpful folks and I think they speak really... More
