a rather good western-style hotel in Kyoto. The staff of the hotel is warm and helpful in Japaneese style.. My single room was just a little bit narrow and I had problem in finding a european plug adapter at the reception... The Kyoto Royal Hotel & Spa is 5 min walk from Ponto-cho, clean, excellent service, and excellent ratio quality - price. We paid 10.000Yen per room. Rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Hotel is very central. Within walking distance to the shops and buses. Rooms is pretty good size. Wonderful location and great service. The rooms are a little small, but impeccably clean. The buffet breakfast is quite good, considering the scale of the hotel. I wish it had a fitness center, but you can always run by the river if you need that sort of thing. more
