Recently spent 4 nights with friend. Location is great as it's next to main train station and subway, and pickup for day trips. The bell captain was fantastic help as we organised for our luggage to be forwarded on to Tokyo motel while we did 3 day Nasendo trail. Room in south wing comfortable size.

Stayed two nights here in the first week of November. Location is great, just across the train station with lots of restaurants, shopping etc. Room is spacious, clean with good amenities and comfortable bed. It is value for money as Japan's hotels are well known for being pricey and small. A special thank you to the doorman, Yamaguchi, who is... More

I really think we lucked out with our choice of hotel stats in Kyoto. The hotel was so convenient for all that we wanted to see and do in Kyoto. The staff was friendly and helpful for all our requests. We only used the hotel for sleeping so I can't speak for any ong the amenities. The room was clean... More

This place has a homey feel which many hotels in Japan lack. The location is very central. The room was well appointed and comfortable and it was nice to be able to open the window/door onto the shared balcony (only openable a certain distance so that you can't actually go out.) The surrounding neighbourhoods are well worth exploring for an... More

I had the pleasure of visiting Kyoto at the end of October and stayed here with friends. Arrived to Kyoto via the bullet train and was pleasantly surprised to find out that my hotel was directly across from the station. This made it very easy to branch out from here. There is a bus station here as well, in addition... More

This hotel was very handy to the Kyoto Train Station....if you find the Ibis across the road...just go to the right of it...and the hotel is along the road about 100 meters... We were a little early to check in so spent a couple of hours walking around the train station....and the HUGE shopping centre to the right of the... More

Recently stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Finding the hotel on arriving at Kyoto Station was a bit of a challenge. Especially with having to lug around luggages and arriving in the late afternoon. This hotel is not actually directly accross the station. you have to turn right as you exit out of the Hajiro West Exit and walk about... More

If you plan to embark on day tours offered by Japanican, New Miyako Hotel is the place to stay. It is the central pick-up location, and that could save some hassle in the morning. Even on your own, the location is just perfect - directly opposite Kyoto Station.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Terrific location opposite the Kyoto rail station. This area has lots of shops and cafés. There was also a large shopping centre in a street on the left of the hotel and a coin laundromat at the end of the street to the right of the hotel. Room is very clean, quite spacious... More

This hotel is a little pricey, maybe because we made a late booking and it was peak time. However it is a really big and very clean hotel with many wings ,a garden for viewing and right across the JR station. It is just a few mins walk from the station on the side of the Kyoto Tower. Rooms are spacious. Our room even... More
