The biggest advantage of this place is that it is just opposite to the Kyoto railway station and majority of the popular tour organisers have a pick up point here. Rooms are spacious and clean. Free wi fi is available

The bed was so hard that I had trouble sleeping. Our room faced the train station and the trains noise was annoying. Fortunately the trains don't run in the middle of the night. The lobby is undergoing renovation, therefore several of the restaurants are closed. There were lines for the restaurant that were serving western style breakfasts.

located in front of kobe station. very clean room. wifi free in the room. free umbrella and wheelchair rental service. kind reception and employees. we made reservation for smokin room and left comment asking for non-smoking room because there was no vacancy. when we arrived they gave us the room with garden view, higher floor, and non-smoking room as we... Well located hotel. Room smallish, well appointed and immaculate if a little dated. Bed like a lump of hard slate. Very uncomfortable to the point of being painful, pillows hard too. Sleep very difficult to have. Ate breakfast there on one morning. All hot food bowls were empty! Good selection of breakfast places across road. Lobby currently being renovated so... More

We booked late and had to pay a little more for the hotel than we normally do. It was so WORTH it! This hotel was awesome. The service is top notch, the rooms are beautiful and the location simply can't be beat. We were not on the train side (as some have suggested), but we didn't plan it that way.... More

Room: the hotel room size is quite ok, south part newer, bathroom size acceptable. the shampoo and body wash quite nice, hairdryer with ionic truely made a difference. room sound isolation can be better. the bed is a bit hard for western taste. location: right behind the station, have full selection of breakfast or dinner, and 7-11 as well for ATM... We spent 4 nights at the New Miyako Hotel in Kyoto. It is conveniently located across the street from the Kyoto train station. This is a two-edged sword. It's location made day trips extremely easy since we only had to walk to the train station to get the train. The flip side was our room location in the hotel faced... More

New Miyako This hotel is situated directly opposite Kyoto train station, so that’s brilliant in terms of getting around. I expecting it to be noisy, but that was not the case at all. The room was extremely spacious and clean. Good size bath tub and the usual Japanese warm toilet. The only fault for me was that the western breakfast... More

This is a hotel for travelers who need a decent and convenient bedroom for exploring Kyoto. It has every thing a modern hotel has to offer. It does not claim to have many Japanese elements. Anyway, if you're the practical type rather than the romantic one, this hotel behind Kyoto Station and beside a shopping mall is the hotel in... More
