Best thing about the hotel is its location right opposite the train / metro / bus station. Apart from that, the staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms were large (for Japan) and comfortable (be prepared for a fairly solid mattress as was the case in all the hotels we stayed in). There was a choice of four restaurants... More

I can only say I thought it was great. The room was good sized and everything was spotless. The bathroom was cozy but very clean and no mould anywhere to be seen. The shower was a dream as there is no apparent water shortage in Japan and the pressure was good and strong. The beds could have been a bit... More

This hotel was probably swank in it's heyday but now it's a little worse for wear. It is a comfortable and clean hotel with a great location next to the Kyoto station. getting here via shinkasen was easy. If you wish to stay in an affordable hotel, this is a good choice. The beer garden on the roof was a... More

After our compact Tokyo room, we really liked all the open space in our room here. It was booked through our tour, so I didn't do much research, and boy, were we pleased. Directly across from Kyoto station, you can't beat the location. Be sure to get to the other side of Kyoto Station. There is lots more than what... More

As part of a two day tour I elected to upgrade my digs and was placed here. The hotel is a 70s design with an early 00s make up over that doesn't quite work but was clean and room huge compared to others I've stayed in Japan but who needs a huge room? Beds hard that's ok by me but... More

It is conveniently located next to Kyoto Station. Just a walk across. Plenty of restaurants and convenient stores all walking distance. It was an okay hotel. Lobby is a bit busy and crowded, hallway on the 10th floor was hot, feels like no A/C. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. I had a great view of Kyoto Station from my... More

The hotel gets 1 star for the location! Because it was very convenient only 5 minutes from the train station - and so easy to go everywhere! However besides that we had a really bad experience at the hotel. The service in the reception was not very good. The noise at the hotel are very loud and you can hear... More

The location is very nice and simple to get to, it is right across the street from the station. As soon as you walk through the doors you are greeted by a staff member, the entire staff seem to have a good understanding and capability to speak English. The station across the way has lots of places to grab a... More

This was one of the best hotels we stayed in whilst touring around Japan. Across the road from the main train station so easy to get to if traveling by train. We picked up a car from Kyoto for remainder of our visit to Japan, which as also based across the road at the station. Room was great not small.... More
