We had a small clean quite room that was all we needed. The position is very convenient both for departure and arrival by train and any bus trip to shrines and temples in Kyoto. Since the hotel is the same property of those of Kyoto Tower Hotel, we were given two free admissions to the tower, which was quite a... More

Stayed at this property from July 14-18 2014. The location is superb! It is practically next to the Kyoto Train Station, very convenient for day trips to Nara, Hiroshima, Himeji etc. The bus stop is also a 4-5 min walk which will allow you to visit the must see places in Kyoto. If arriving at Kyoto Station, go out from... More

The location is very good and the price too. But you have to know that you get what you pay for here:). It is a very old hotel and you feel it in the rooms. The toilet and shower is very very small…….

We stayed here for three nights in March and chose this hotel based on Trip advisor reviews and locations. I was not disappointed. This being my third trip to Japan I knew not to expect large rooms, and while the rooms were on the small side this was not the smallest I've had. The location is brilliant - we had... More

When travelling around Kyoto during Cherry Blossom season, hotels are extremely expensive. The Kyoto Dai-Ni Tower hotel offers a cheaper price and convenient location as it's just across the road from Kyoto JR station, next to the buses which will take you to all the temples / shrines and plenty of food choices as well. As far as the hotel... More

This hotel is only a 5 minute walk from Kyoto train station, so right in the heart of things. The free wi-fi is a little bit of a pain, but as long as youre in the lobby area it works ok. The free Kyoto tower ticket was a bonus, and I think if you visit Kyoto it is a must... More

Great location, only 3 minutes walking from Kyoto JR station and its mall with shops and restaurants. The room was really microscopic and with old forniture. The window couldn't be closed completely and noises from other rooms could be heard. The staff was kind and helpful. One lady could also speak a very good italian. Unexpensive.

The room we had with twin beds was tiny. We could hardly find room for our 2 large suitcases. The location is unbeatable. 2 minutes walk to Kyoto station and plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby.

The front desk was quite honest when I aksed for a room with a view. "Sorry, we don't have one!" Naturally, if you have high rises all round within handshaking distance, all you can do is be honest about it. That said, stay at this hotel was a pleasant one. The restaurant had a good breakfast spread, both western and... More

The hotel is just 3-5mins from Kyoto JR Station making it easy to locate and the stay includes free ticket to kyoto tower. Negative side are no wi-fi in room and toilet is much smaller than expected. Recommended to buy the city bus card (¥500) for sightseeing as it's more convenience to travel. Kyoto shops in general ends around 8pm,... More
