We stayed at the Kyoto Dai-Ni Tower Hotel for two nights. The location can't be beat. It's an incredibly short walk to the hotel from the JR Kyoto Station - even shorter when we realized there was a shortcut. Most tourist attractions are accessed by bus via the hub at the JR Kyoto Station. The hotel itself was clean and... More

The first thing you will notice when you stepped in: small room and even smaller bathroom. We had a twin non-smoking room. Location not too bad, a tired looking building that's hidden away - near to kyoto century hotel located near to Kyoto Station. It is not a major hotel so you can't find it on the map and the... More

Stayed 3 days here last month on my trip to explore Japan. The staffs are friendly and the location is good for access only to JR Kyoto train station. It is also a major hub for buses, taxis with the standard underground shopping. When I was there, most of the underground shops were renovating and have not opened yet. Unfortunately,... More

+ Good value for money considering its location (next to Kyoto sta.) and price. The hotel was quite clean and near eating and shopping places e.g. Porta, Isetan, Yobayashi, 100 yen shop, mini-mart etc. The hotel gave out free-tickets for Kyoto Tower, which gives 360DEG view of Kyoto. Stop by at the tourist Info near Kyoto station to get discount... More

just outside jr station and close to bus terminus, better to buy day pass for bus if staying very nice view from tower and hotel will give free entrance usually where you may try going days n nights as view would be different.

What we liked about the hotel: (1) great location - right next to Kyoto Station. Plenty of food options nearby. There's a family mart just across the street. There's also a Yodobashi nearby. It is only few minutes away from the bus stops where you can catch buses to many of the tourist destinations. Please pay attention to the bus... More

- Excellent location, just beside de central station. - Very helpful staff. - Free ticket to Kyoto Tower. - Free wifi. - Room space is good, HOWEVER the bathroom size if you're tall is definitely a problem. I´m 1,90 tall and the bathroom size is exactly this height. For me the shower area was very tight. - Breakfast very expensive... More

The hotel is a middle size in the very senter of Kyoto. 100 metres walk from the enourmous large Sentral station with Shinkansen, which may take you any place in Japan with a average train speed of 300 km/h. The hotel rooms are not very large, but relatively well equipped. Breakfast of an intercontinental standard - very tasty and good.
