Typical Japanese business hotel. Nothing to recommend it, other than being close to Kyoto station. I'd flown in that morning on a longhaul flight from Europe, and was looking forward to a sound nights sleep. Unfortunately, the walls and doors have the insulation quality of a traditional rice paper. 3 times I was awoken by crying children, somewhere down the... More

Took a direct train from Kansai Airport and the hotel is situated directly opposite the Kyoto train station. Hotel is with close proximity to all the amenities and attractions. The bus station is just opposite the hotel, as such accessibility to public transport is a breeze. There is also a Lawson Store nearby to the hotel for your convenience. Hotel... More

The hotel is conveniently located across from Kyoto Station, and in the event of bad weather, it can be reached via the underground “Porta” network of shops, emerging above ground just a few steps from the front door. Around the corner is Yodobashi Camera and in the area are scores of small restaurants and bars as well as other shopping.... More

The location of this hotel is good in sense it is just steps away from a huge network of underground shops and restaurants, leading to subway and JR Kyoto stations. Buses 206 and 100 can bring you to Kiuomizu Temple. A convenient store is across from the intersection, next to the post office. The hotel itself offers breakfast buffet (for... More

As per our itinerary, leaving Osaka at night to reach Kyoto. The hotel is close to JR station, crossing the street. It is kinda old and we did not pay attention for the room description. Room is too small (the smallest we get in Japan), air con location is wrong so you would feel warm.

I was traveling by train only around Japan for 2 weeks in august 2014 and I stayed 2 + 1 nights at New Hankyu. Efficient check in, very warm and welcoming staff, rooms are perfectly sized. the first room I had was a single one, with view on the Kyoto Tower. But a noise problem with a water pipe happened... This hotel is a bit dated, but you can't go wrong with the location. Direct access to JR Kyoto station (which is great for the Shinkansen) and the city bus station is literally across the road from the hotel. Room size is adequate, and the beds comfy enough. This is not a super luxury hotel, but the reception staff are... More

In front of the station, it is very convenient when you arrive and if you want to take the bus. The place is clean, the rooms are not incredible but OK. The breakfast has a lot of choice, for a correct quality.

Just opposite the railway station with superb conection to anywhere in the city (most buses start an end hier). Spacy room with double beds, very clean, with a possibility to open the window (othervice to warm). A lot of opportunities for breakfest and diner in the close vicinity, shoul you prefer not to eat in the hotel itself. Staff speak... More
