In front of the station, it is very convenient when you arrive and if you want to take the bus. The place is clean, the rooms are not incredible but OK. The breakfast has a lot of choice, for a correct quality.

Just opposite the railway station with superb conection to anywhere in the city (most buses start an end hier). Spacy room with double beds, very clean, with a possibility to open the window (othervice to warm). A lot of opportunities for breakfest and diner in the close vicinity, shoul you prefer not to eat in the hotel itself. Staff speak... More

The hotel might looks old but the room is neat and clean. It is located just opposite Kyoto JR station and bus station with lots of restaurants and malls around. Recommend to purchase a bus only day pass for 500 yen (unlimited travel) as Kyoto bus station has all buses that moves to every part in the city. It is... More

We have been in Japan for over a week. This is by far the worst place we have stayed so far. I wish we had checked the reviews before booking, however, no wi-fi at the time. We came to Kyoto a day earlier and the place we had reservations at was fully booked unfortunately. So we stayed here for one... More

The Hotel New Hankyu Kyoto is in a great location - right across the street from Kyoto Station. But, this makes is pricey, despite the very old condition of the property. This was the shabbiest hotel I stayed in during my trip to Japan, and among the most expensive. If you value convenience, then this is the hotel for you.... More

The hotel is very close to the station with many bus lines to attractions. The staff is nice and willing to help. You can buy one-day bus pass from the reception directly. Though room is not much spacious, it is cozy.

I spent 4 nights at New Hankyu Kyoto in May/2014. Location: Excellent because it is near the Kyoto Train Station and the Bus Terminal. It is easy to shop and dine in the Kyoto Train Station. A convenient spot to go anywhere in Kyoto. Service: Good. I request the Hotel to book restaurants for me and they did the job... More

Can't be any better location. Just right across the street from the Kyoto train station and bus terminal. The front desk staff were helpful. The room is small but it's Ok for Japan. All toiletteries were provided along with the night gown and slippers. Overall the room was clean but needed some upgrades. They were doing the renovation so hopefully... More
