We loved our stay. Hotel has a chic feel, is modern, has English speaking staff and nice rooms. We even had a very spacious shower, rooms must be recently refurbished because everything seems new. Great location close to the famous restraint district Pontocho and a metro station. Also right next to the hotel is lovely Salvatores pizzeria that has very... More

The Royal Park Hotel Kyoto is a sleek boutique hotel set in the heart of Kyoto's restaurant district. Room views are nondescript: the tops of nearby commercial buildings. But the lobby is tres chic and the staff attempt to create a high-end boutique service atmosphere. The hotel is definitely "corporate boutique," not "charming boutique," but they do a nice job.... Just got home from a 3-night stay at the hotel and trying not to fall asleep before 6 pm. We stayed in 2 adjoining rooms. The rooms are indeed rather small, but most hotel rooms in Japan are very compact. Love the location, close to Sanjo subway station, Nishiki market, Shijo where major department stores such as Daimaru and Takashimaya... More

I absolutely loved this modern boutique hotel in Kyoto. The rooms are very small but very clean and modern. I stayed with family in Standard Twin and Deluxe Twin rooms, which are basically identical except that the Deluxe Twin rooms had a nicer view (street view, instead of view of the neighbouring building), and the bathroom in the Deluxe Twin... I don't understand all the good reviews of this hotel. Room was very very small, without any wardrobe. Was almost not even room for our bags. And we had a deluxe room. Breakfast was really bad, with extremly small plates and poor Westen choises. The location are very good and the straff friendly.

Spent a night there. The location is great with restaurants and shopping malls around. The room is very clean and decent size. Price is very reasonable. You can basically within walking distance to everywhere. The breakfast is plentiful. I like their japanese breakfast, lot of variety and well prepared.

We stayed here for 3 nights in July and we did not wanna leave at all. When you arrive at Kyoto Station I recommend to get a taxi to the hotel ( it costs us 15$) or Bus Number 4, but the bus stop is probably hard to find when you first get there. The hotel has an awesome location... More

We stayed at the Royal Park Hotel for 6 nights. If you are coming from the train or bus station, it would be best to take a cab because it may be a little hard to find. It's worth the trip! What you leave behind is the generic big city environment surrounding the train station hotels. The Royal Park puts... More

The hotel is centrally located in Kyoto, right in the midst of restaurants, convenience stores and main shopping arcades. Subway stations are also close by. 7-eleven within 3 minutes walk has ATM machines. Taxi from central train station to hotel takes about 15 minutes and cost is reasonable (about US$15). Hotel room is quite small but comfortable and has all... More

We stayed as a family for 3 nights and took 2 rooms at the hotel. The hotel is superbly located where it is close to Nishiki market, Teramachi shopping arcade, Ponto-cho and Gion. Breakfast is great at the cafe-bakery next door. Supermarket is also conveniently located next to the hotel. Rooms are slightly small but extremely clean and comfortable. Toilet... More
