We stayed two nights in October and really enjoyed this place Hotel and room were clean and we loved the design of this place and the cozy atmosphere The only bad point is the location of he hotel, we found it a little bit far from the train station and point of interest

About 15 minutes walk from Kyoto train station. Although a little bit far from the city center, this is still a highly recommended hotel with spacious and cozy room. Besides, I found it difficult to make use of their complimentary laundry service at peak time such as after 8pm. Actually, there were just a few pieces of clothing or one... More

The most unusual hotel I've ever stayed in -- not only were the entry, lobby, and lounge a veritable art gallery, but the rooms themselves were elegantly but simply decorated. Daily breakfast served from 7am to 10am served as a healthy brunch -- vegetable smoothie, salad, yogurt, two pita sandwiches (different ingredients each day), coffee, tea and juices. The breakfast... Stayed for 3 nights in October. I had read about this place for months leading up to my visit and was looking forward to it immensely (was also featured in Casa Brutus magazine). An amazing layout with the lobby being used as a small gallery/exhibition space. All of the rooms are consistent with having a very industrial and minimalistic design... More

This hotel may not be in the centre of town but is all the better for it. You can easily walk from Kyoto Station or take the underground to the stop Kujo from where the hotel is 5 minutes stroll through a pleasant residential area. Upon reaching the hotel I was met with a warm welcome and an intriguing art... More

This place is hip. If you're like me and enjoy staying in a unique, cool, boutique hotel then I would highly recommend this place. There were lots of younger, single adults like myself in the common areas of the hotel, so I felt at home. I didn't see or hear a single child the whole time I was there. The... More

One night at Hotel Anteroom costs the same as expensive meal, so it really hits the sweet-spot of a budget hotel. The place is quirky... kind of like an upscale college dorm. The hotel is one subway stop from Kyoto station, which makes it convenient for catching the train. The walk from the subway to the hotel isn't far, though... More

Having stayed at this magnificent little hotel for three nights this month on vacation with my hubby, I honestly can't understand why anyone coming to Kyoto would even consider staying elsewhere. This hotel is ridiculously cheap, yet the service and atmosphere were great. Sweet little design touches, from individual art in each room to the lovely lobby-level gallery, as well... More

Location is an important factor to me when it comes to choosing a hotel. After a long day of sightseeing, the last thing I look forward to is a long walk back to the hotel. And this is exactly the case here. The nearest train station is about 8 minutes on foot from the hotel but there is nothing along... More
