It was newly refurbished and staff were very helpful. Great location downtown next to the popular shopping arcades and a very short walk to the unique Pontocho area. Buses outside the hotel are frequent and go to all the main historical sights. There is a lot of exploring to do on foot within the area if you are willing to... More

We initially booked here for 6 nights and extended our stay with two more. This hotel is right in the center of it all and you can do a lot by foot. You can take bus 205 to or from Kyoto station or catch the subway. We did daytrips to Osaka, Kobe and Nara from here and that worked out... More

Stayed for three nights with our family - one double and one twin room. If space is important go for a twin room. If you have more than one case you will struggle to fit it in and two folk into the double. Rooms are spotless and modern but we worried that they would be noisy due to the location... More

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The rooms are immaculate. The bathroom is modern and sparkling white. There is a good size bath tub for a nice soak after a long day of walking!! The room service and amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razor, toothbrush, body loofah, shower all provided) are of a high standard. The... More

Close proximity to the subway and major bus stops that enables easy access to all major sites in Kyoto. The hotel is also near to the many restaurants as well as seven eleven and other convenience stores. You are within walking distance of the Geisha district as well. We were warmly greeted by the reception staff. Our room was very... More

Our family had very unhappy stay in Kyoto Vistat premio hotel. On 5 July 2014 at 7 pm, I heard two front desk staff named Ms A [--] and Mr Y [--] insulting and laughing at our family being Chinese. Our family wanted to talk to duty manager or person in charge of the hotel, but the lady staff said... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. The room was clean, modern and very spacious for 2 people. The bed was very comfortable too! The hotel is in a great location, surrounded by shops, restaurants, markets and good transport links. However, the hotel is very quiet when you're inside so you get the best of both worlds. We didn't have breakfast... More

This was our second time staying at this hotel. Last year we spent a week here when they were still the Best Western and we just returned from another week. We love the location of the hotel with close proximity to the subway, and two private railway stations, and bus routes. JR Kyoto Station is an easy subway ride away.... More

This truly is a hidden gem for the price I paid for this Standard Double Room (68 euro, 85 dollar). The room is pretty big to Japanese standards and you can easily stow away you suitcases. Your clothes can be stored in drawers in a closet next to the door. The bathroom is big enough and has all the amenities... More
