I had stayed here for 3 nights with friends and we booked family room with 2 double bed. The room we stayed also have a small living room with a sofa, fridge, kettle. The water pressure and airconditioner/heater works great. It's near to many local shops like 7 eleven, lawson and etcs as well as small cafe and restaurants. We... More

Nice reception with two friendly girls working there. Location is pretty bad as the hotel is far away from all attractions. However, there is a bus line 207 to the center of Kyoto and it stops fifty meters from the hotel entrance – so this is very convenient (recommended to buy daily ticket). Our room was very small, though this... More

Stayed for 3 nights in this week in family room. The room is clean and enough space for family of 4. Shower is OK. The hotel served typical simple Japanese breakfast, provided with water dispenser and Mircowave oven. Location is quite far from major attraction even though is serve by Bus 206 and 207 only. Very few eating places around... More

The hotel is much nicer than its photo on their website, so don't let that put you off! It is quite a hike from the railway station and nearest subway station, so walking is not practical with luggage. There are few restaurants in the area of the hotel. To be fair there are other Toyoko Inns in Kyoto with better... More

My tour company booked this for me, so I did not pick this place to stay. I would say this place is meant more for the Japanese and not foreigners. Communication is difficult. I realize we are in a different company, I have been in many hotels throughout the world, I thought this was rather poor. Even though English is... More

I have stayed here with my wife for 3 nights in April 2013. The room Bigger room here than the one we had at Toyoko Inn Asakusa Senzoku Tsukuba Express, in Tokyo. The room style is similar (i think it is similar in the entire Toyoko Inn chain), but the hotel seems to be quite new, as the furniture and... More

The value received was great. Very clean room and bathroom, friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable bed. I think all the Toyoko inn hotels are quite nice really. I love the presents for ladies they give you in the reception and the free toiletries you can find in the bathrooms.

On this business trip, we had a choice of this economical Toyoko Inn or the Kyoto Tokyu. I'm glad I chose this hotel because the value received was great and gave a better sense of local culture. If you are the type who wants to stay in your room with luxury, then don't stay here. The single person room is... More

We (2 adults and a kid) stayed at this hotel for 2 nights because all the other Toyoko Inns in Kyoto did not have a non-smoking double or twin room available. Our experiences were as follows : Pro => a) Excellent value for money. b) Room was very clean and safe environment. c) Free Japanese breakfast, water and PCs. d)... More

Accessing to Gojo-Omiya is kind of different from other Toyoko-Inn that I've stayed. It is however, very accessible by taking bus number 206 from JR Kyoto, frequency is approximately 15 mins. Bus travel within Kyoto are more friendly than Subways, buses within 2 mins walk from the hotel brings you to many sights including Gion. As it's located within neighbourhood... More
