Only stayed here for one night when I took a day trip to Kyoto from Tokyo. The room is small (typical size for Japan) but I felt that they have put a lot of thought into the layout. Not an inch of space is wasted and everything is within reach. TV gives you a lot of useful information such as... More

The Dormy Inn chain is my favorite hotel in Japan thus far. I always look for a Dormy Inn when I visit a new place in Japan. I was ecstatic to find one near by the train station when I returned to Kyoto. As always, I love the breakfast and big 'onsen' bath in Dormy Inn. I was there during... More

When staying to a hotel, the number one priority for us is how comfortable the beds are. Coming from Australia, I prefer beds that are soft (not like hard mats - though I know there are people from different countries and cultures who prefer hard beds). The beds in this hotel were very hard and it felt uncomfortable. I previously... More

Our room was absolutely spotless. The location is fantastic, right next to the train station. Comfortable bedding and front desk staff were very helpful. Our room was made up really well everyday, you could tell they even vacuumed daily. Will definitely stay here again!

Just one-night stay after Kyoto sightseeing. Compact room for two with built in shower room. As most of business hotels provide, all amenities include towels and pajamas, you don't have to bring anything but just clothes for tomorrow. I love their public bath and open-air bath, very good way to relax after a hard-day walking. You may love their complimentary... More

Excellent business hotel, with EVERYTHING a sophisticated traveller may need, and more. We like : -100 m from Kyoto main station, with all the convenience that comes with - Neat room, very comfortable bed, not tiny like usually found in business hotels, ok bathroom side - Reliable Wifi for as many devices as you may need, branded tea and coffee... Stayed there for a night during our brief stopover in Kyoto. Concierge was attentive and had maps and bus guides available, similar to other dormy inns that we stayed in. Free wifi in room and free ramen served at 9pm. Nice onsen and a 24 hours Lawson supermarket next door. You may request for harder pillows if you find the... More

Very close to Kyoto station which is handy. Rooms are very small but clean and tidy. There are free udon noodles from 9 – 11pm in the meals area which were great. Also massages available in the hotel. Laundry facilities on site were very handy. This is definitely a budget choice – don’t expect anything fancy, but it was all... More

We stayed 2 night at Dormy Inn and we enjoyed it! Well located : 5 minutes walk from train station and bus hub which is perfect to visit temples and other attractions of Kyoto. Rooms are small ( we are in Japan of course) but nicely designed. We enjoy the japanese baths on top floor and free and tasteful noodles... More
