Stayed there for 3 nights fm 26th-28th March. We spend 1 hr going round looking for this place. Reception area was so crammed with the 3 of us with suitcases. Have to remove our shoes and use commmunal slippers which was digusting. The doors swing outwards and it was difficult to carry our luggages whilst holding out the door. Luggage... More

Stayed 3 nights at this hostel. The male owner was not so friendly. Poor electrical wiring in the kitchen which was not informed earlier to us. My wife was scolded by the male owner for using the microwave and water heater at the same time. No water kettle provided in the room by the way. Overall, the room was extremely... More

Stayed at this place last November 14. Is a bad experience for a group of us. The place is rather run-down, lift got foul smell, towel provided for guest was torn badly (worst than those i used to clean the floor at home), owner not friendly at all. On our last day, it was pouring heavily and we got stuck... More

The owners of this Inn were very sweet and helpful. The rooms were fine. The only complaint I have about it was that the stairs up to our rooms were outside, and had a lot of mice droppings on them so you really need to have slippers to put on between the genkan (entry way) and your room. It would... More

This is a terrible experienced. I would like to share that we have not located the hotel after 1 hour of looking for it and because of our frustration and dissatisfaction, we decided to give up and find another hotel. This is my first time to book through Agoda and this is a dissatisfying experienced.I hope they reevaluate the hotel... More

For a large group the quite narrow entry is a challenge, however upon entry the kitchen and large, beautifully rough-hewn wooden table are relaxing and welcoming. Rooms are barely large enough for the huge, soft futon, but SLEEP is our priority so we don't need space for hanging out in the room. Private baths help the relaxation level as well.

The Dolphin is a Japanese style apartment hotel. Japanrstyle means that it's got tatami flooring and you aleep on rolled out futons. We've been travelling on japan for a couple of weeks with a 2 year old and 8 month year old, and found Japanese style a lot easier. There is a communal dining, anf kitchen area.it was really quiet... I stayed with 3 friends in a five bed room. The inn is a 10 minute walk from the train station, so very convenient for dropping your bags off and start exploring Kyoto. The person at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and with a private bathroom. The place is not perfect, but... More

It's a Bit Hard to find a Hotel with the price like this especially in a touristy City like Kyoto for a Bedroom that occupies 3-4 People with Ensuite bathroom, finally i got a good rate here. But the check-in itself is not efficient, must do it on the another hotel, and then we walked about 3-4 minutes to Sparkling... More

was the first of a few hostels my party of 5 and I put up during our 2 week long stay in Japan. the place, though offering free wi-fi, only allows its guests to hang around at the common area till 11pm. i presume this is because the owners themselves stay in a room just adjacent to the common area,...
