Located quite near Kyoto station, El Inn hotel is very convenient, just one minute walk from the station. The hotel is so called business hotel, therefore, you cannot find any amusement in the hotel, however,it will be no problem if you only require minimum service with quiet and comfortable room and service. This is one of the biggest hotels in Kyoto, so you... When entering the hotel premises you get a feeling of quality and service level which usually requires a higher price to obtain. Good design, no wear and tear, professional staff, nice room and bed, good breakfast, nice lobby for working or entertaining your visitors. The hotel is easy to find if you arrive in underground tunnels, as it is located... More

The El Inn is an interesting place. Of course, the room was clean, but it also smelled of cigarette smoke. Not enough to change rooms, but I thought we'd asked for a non-smoking room. Well, the room was so clean, so.....no biggie. The staff was helpful and polite. The hotel is well-located for transportation. The breakfast was just okay. Even... More

Good mattress, very clean and comparatively big room. Just a bit noisy as my room is right in front of the railway. I must have to close the wood shade to eliminate the noise from the moving trains. Good location where just next to the Kyoto station, airport limousine stops at the road right in front of the hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Service was perfect, very friendly English speaking staff, ready to help with anything needed. The location was also great, right across the street from the JR station and bus terminal, which made it easy to go to any Kyoto attraction or a day trip to the surrounding areas,... More

The location is convenient for coming and going to the central station, but the rest of the hotel is like a poor business hotel in some lost corner of the country. Do not use it for vacation. Nevertheless, the price is quite low, rooms are clean and internet is free. Breakfast is outsourced to an attached fast-food. The hotel has... More

i've stayed at this hotel during trip to Japan for a conference. location was perfect, as I could easily find the hotel upon arriving shinkansen train from Tokyo. The people at reception were very nice and welcoming, check in was very fast. though in hotel there is no wi-fi, but at the reception you receive special cable, and speed of... More

The staff was always cheerful and friendly. My check-in time last for more than 15 min and they apologised for this and gave me a small packet of cosmetic papers (face oil absorbing ones) of a famous kyoto brand (the one with a caricature woman face logo) as a token of thanks for my patience. Very thoughtful indeed. The room... More

Me and my colleague (both are females) stayed for 4 days. The hotel is very close to the station. Ambience is also good. Room service is par excellent. Rooms are spacious enough that easily 2 can accommodate. Washrooms are also very neat and clean with large bath tub. The towels and kiminos are daily changed. There is a facility for... More
