This budget business hotel location is excellent, within half a block from the Gojo subway station (north exit 2), which is one stop away from the Kyoto Station. Clean, comfortable and quiet, staff is helpful. It is within walking distance to quite a few attractions, including the Gion district and the shopping street. Quite a few eateries around the hotel... The Hotel is in a very good location about 10 minutes walk from the Railway Station and close to shops and restaurants. There is also a Metro Station very nearby. The room was spacious (for Japan) and comfortable, the Hotel has a Restaurant and can provide a Japanese or Western breakfast for a small extra charge. The staff were helpful... More

I was expecting this to be an decent hotel, but it was wonderful. The hotel wifi was spectatucalar and fast and the hotel itself was a 30 second walk to a Subway Station. The breakfast was the only not so good thing, it was plain so we went to a restaurant for breakfast (1 min walk)!

Great little hotel - halfway between Kyoto station (which is an easy 10 minute walk straight down the road) and the center of Kyoto City (Nishiki Market etc). Gojo station (on the Karasuma line) is just across the road. A few good little restaurants around the area within walking distance - check out Shunsai Tempura Arima if you want the... More

My fiancee and I stayed here one night while sightseeing in Kyoto. Very nice place for the price. Front desk people spoke English and were friendly. We used the public baths which were very clean and nice and HOT! I have many tattoos and they give you a paper saying those with tattoos cannot use the baths. I had no... More

Just left hotel Jan 25, family of 4, hotel was clean and met all our expectations only 100 meters from subway, 5 to 10 min walk to resturants. We found Kyoto spread out and really no central point to stay, this was a good central location. We thought it was good value and would definitely stay there again, the staff... More

Hotel Sancrane is located in a central area, within walking distance of Kyoto station and many restaurants and shops. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and were quite happy to give detailed directions to attractions as well as bus timetables,. This hotel provides great value for money and service with a smile. I would stay... More

Family of 4, we stay at Hotel San Crane for two nights in early December. The room was spacious and my sons love the space afforded to them, there is even a small resting area just outside the toilet for you to sit and blow dry your hair etc. Amenities were great and they even provide branded shampoo and liquid... The hotel located close to Gojo station which is just one station away from the Kyoto station. However, it's quite inconvenient to drag my heavy luggage up the stairs since the station had no elevator. Room was very clean and more spacious than I expected. I believe that it had been renovated in recent years. The bathroom amenities were very... More

I ended up staying at this hotel at the last minute when almost all hotels were sold out in Kyoto. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is a small private hotel which in Europe would be classified as a Tourist hotel. It is not part of any chain, it is not luxurious, but it is comfortable and perfect for a... More
