Hotel is so close to Kyoto station thus so handy if you are dragging luggages. Too many options to choose from where to eat and drink. Although room we stayed is quite tiny wherein we need to lay our 2 luggages on the floor to access our clothes, bed is very comfortable. Reception is very helpful and can communicate in... More

The people of Kyoto don't love their massive train station cum mall cum convention hotel architecturally, but it is used so actively that noone can tell the difference. The hotel feels like any higher end big city American hotel, with queues for most everything, stuff but professional service and highly functional rooms. I'd most compare it to Wynn in Vegas... This is the largest hotel I have stayed in by far by the sheer number of rooms. The walk from the elevator to my room down at the end of the corridor literally felt like 200m. This makes Granvia feel slightly impersonal and check-in slow due to the large number of guests. Although the rooms are very livable and well-maintained,... More

You can't beat the location when in Kyoto. It's literally in the train station, on top of everything. I've noticed this property on prior visits and made sure to stay here on my last visit. It didn't disappoint except that the rooms are a bit small, which is normal for Japan. Service was top-notch. We even had the front desk... More

A great stay in the wonderful city of Kyoto - right on Kyoto station with an easy walk to Hotel, Taxis and right on the Porta Dining area with 60 or so excellent, great value, Japanese dining opportunities. The station building is interesting to explore and worth taking the series of elevators up to the roof for a wonderful view... More

We stayed in Kyoto tower side twin room with big bath room. The view was nice and room was large. They have international tv channels & good amenities. The breakfast buffet was good to start a day. Their staff are very professional and give us great hospitality. When we checked in, my husband realized that he left his camera bag... More

I was initially quite skeptical about staying at the Hotel Granvia despite the many positive reviews, simply because of its location at Kyoto Station which is the main transportation hub for the city. I was pleasantly surprised and can now truly appreciate all the good points of this property. It is a large, well maintained hotel with excellent customer service... More

I would highly recommend the Hotel Granvia, Kyoto. It is in the station complex right above the Kyoto station, next to a bus station and close to shopping centres. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The shower is wonderful and the beds great. There are tea/coffee making facilities but you need to bring your own black tea. Green tea... More

The hotel is right in the Kyoto station where JR line, Subway, bus routes all gather here so it's very convenient to visit most of the sites in Kyoto! Lots of eatery and shopping, too, you can just stay inside the station for the whole day and won't feel bored! The hotel service is also great, very attentive and professional.... More

This is a fairly new hotel so all the little extras that can make a difference are there. All the lights in the rooms are dimmable, the slippers are comfy, the shower efficient. There's even room in the fridge for your own milk to make tea (great for a Brit like me) BUT no English tea (we asked room service... More
