Being right next to Kyoto Station, the hotel offers unrivaled convenience. There is a fantastic array of transportation options readily available. There are also countless places to eat and shop in the area. And if you walk just a littler further, as another reviewer mentioned, you can actually get away from the bustling and modern train station to get a... More

We spent 5 night recently with 2 kids. This is a must stay hotel if you are looking at travelling out and about. We arrived from Tokyo on the Shinkansen at 3pm, walked straight upstairs to the hotel and were given a fast checkin with efficient staff. The reception was so friendly and were taken straight up to our room... More

This hotel is one of two large hotels which are actually in the train station. We appreciated the ease of access both coming to and departing from Kyoto, (train in and bullet train leaving); as well as the accessibility of many many restaurants and services. This train station is amazing ~ it's like a small city, a cultural experience in... More

A little bit pricey but if you book in advance, probably cheaper. The hotels: - 1) Very convenient. Connecting building with the Kyoto Station 2) Shops are everywhere nearby: Isetan, Yodobashi Kamera, Porta... all you need is to google 3) Convenient stores nearby - Lawson, Family Mart 4) Bus terminals just in front - a convenient way to go for... This is a very easy place to go and visit Kyoto. Probably the most convenient. It's right on top of the bullettrain station and above a big, modern mall. The place is very big. Lots of high end vrestaurant choices and excellent transportation to anywhere in Kyoto. Rooms are clean and spacious. Nothing special but they have everything you need.... More

I recently had a trip to Kyoto and stayed in this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located at Kyoto Shinkansen station. This makes travelling very easy from Tokyo using Shinkansen. I particularly enjoyed breakfast as it has a very good spread of international and Japanese cuisine. Right next to the station, you can find many restaurants and you will be... More

Although the sheer size of the Hotel Granvia can feel daunting, the staff are helpful and welcoming, and clearly accustomed to cheerfully assisting overwhelmed travelers. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, as we had rail passes for train travel in and out of Kyoto, and the Granvia is actually part of a huge modern shopping/restaurant/train and bus... More

This hotel was OK and in a convenient location. But it was just too big and chaotic for my liking, the lobby was always busy and there were not enough front desk staff. The biggest problems we had were two things: They charged you for coffee in the room like it was a mini bar item! Really annoying when your... More

We stayed at the Hotel Granvia Kyoto for three nights in April 2015. We booked a room on the Granvia Floor and was upgraded to a suite on the same floor. The hotel is located in the busy Kyoto train station, and therefore very convenient for sightseeing trips to nearby cities as well as for getting into and out of... More

Large business hotel in central Kyoto, immediately adjacent to the main train station (with Shinkansen trains to Tokyo etc) and a large shopping mall. Clean, modern design. Very professional, friendly and capable staff; all well enough with English language. Rooms are -for Japan- quite large. Minibar, trousers press, safety box, good bath amenities, good minibar, great bed, well maintained furniture.... More
