We stayed in one of the twin rooms on the top floor from the 6th - 10th October. Great hotel, big room with two big beds. We were on the back and it was very quiet. Small bathroom but very clean and with conditioner, shampoo and body wash all provided. Not far from the station or any other transport (buses... More

This place was surprisingly nice. Friendly and helpful staff, clean room with crispy sheets and yukatas (Japanese kimono-like summer garment) on the beds. Though room was small, but there was enough space to hang clothes and place your belongings and luggage. Air conditioner worked perfectly. Bathroom is a bit small, so maybe not too comfortable for a very tall or... More

I have stayed at the Econo-Inn Kyoto three times now over a period of 8 years. Each time my stay was pleasant, the staff were kind and courteous, and I somehow had the same room! I always feel a little like I'm visiting a distant relative when I stay there. The location is within easy walking distance of a laundromat,... More

Definitely budget. Good location (easy bus ride on 205/17/4 from Kyoto station and within bus ride of all the temples). Simple breakfast which was sufficient for us. Very decent sized room but bathroom was tiny (fine by Japanese standards)

This budget hotel ticks all the boxes. In Kyoto we were out traveling all day and Econoinn is just what you need to rest your head for the next big day. Very friendly and helpful staff. Decent sized twin room, very clean and warm with Kimonos to use. Beds a bit hard but comfortable enough, we crashed every night so... More

It is really good option for budget travelers. You have your private room with tiny but your own bathroom for the price of hostel! nice common kitchen. convinient location. I stayed alone and my single room was unexpectedly normal (even big for japanese standard), bigger than in some business hotels.

The hotel is located just 15 minutes away from Kyoto Station. 5 minutes if you take a city bus. Extremely close to the main shopping and restaurant area. Staff were friendly, helpful and patient to handle your request. I had a comfortable and nice stay in the hotel. Definitely will recommend this nice, friendly hotel with great price to other... The place was clean and has a private bath. We had a nice and comfortable stay. The owners were friendly and always helpful whenever we needed to ask for directions or services. We tried walking to nishiki market and kiyomizudera temple from the hotel but I would recommend taking the bus instead. Its Hassle free and more convinient with a... More

I stayed in this hotel during my spring holidays in Japan. I found this place is small but clean and located in the center of Kyoto. I can walk to Gion and train station. The staffs are very helpful and patient to handle the guest. I asked the male staff on reception three times to set up the heater (the... More

Not in the best location but fairly central this is a no-frills place. Wifi in lobby and basic breakfast included. Walkable to the main station, but better to saty closer to there and buy a bus/train pass for getting around as Kyoto's sights are widely scattered.
