Our initial impressions of this hotel were good. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the reception area was spacious and comfortable. The rooms however, although not small, felt cramped. The main downside for us was the location of this hotel on Port Island, which is mainly a business and residential area. Finding somewhere to eat locally was difficult initially,... More

Quite decent hotel provided that you have less than 1.90m. If you have more than that height you could have a problem with the toilet and bed. The hotel was clean but the concept of a European breakfast is quite different to someone from Europe. Small round cheese and salami for breakfast which in Europe a guest would not looked... More

This is in a quiet location slightly away from the hustle-bustle of Sannomiya and we loved staying here. It is conveniently located near port liner stations (3 of them) and Hotel offers free shuttle bus service to Sannommiya center. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside is that there are no eateries very nearby ( Hotel has one.... More

Stayed here April 2014. In Pearl City area of Kobe (across channel) They provide bus transportation to hotel from station, but you might be better taking the Port City Liner (the metro/subway equivalent) to the station near the hotel. It's about a 15 min ride, with a 2-5min walk to hotel. The area seems deserted, but the hotel is not.... More

Okay, it is definitely run down in places and some money needs to be spent on it. But this is the sort of place where you go to get your head down for sleep, not a romantic luxury weekend. If you find the restaurant a bit expensive then there a few eateries nearby. Decent breakfast and I found the staff... More

The staff was rude, the walls were paper thin (and I was surrounded by families with young children), there was no iron (or they wouldn't lend it to me), and the whole place seemed run down. If I didn't have to do some work a 2-minute walk away, I would NEVER come here.

Great check in - very smooth and friendly. Room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was a good size with the bath being slightly bigger than in regular business hotels in Japan. Buffet dinner looked rather dull but the a la carte Tonkatsu was lovely. Will stay again if in Kobe.

I took the Ferry boat from the Kansai airport and then stepped off at Shimin Hiroba train station into the Convention Center. The hotel is only two blocks away from the International Convent ion Center, but its behind a couple of large buildings and cannot be seen from the Center. It is located among a series of office buildings, and... More

Chose this hotel as many years back we stayed here and received excellent service. However this time round quite disappointed as the carpet had some stains and there was a lingering smell of cigarrette when we first entered the room. We like the shuttle bus service to Sannomiya though we could not quite understand what the notice at the exit... More

I don't write a lot of reviews, but I felt like I should this time. My wife and I were only in Kobe for a night to see a show at Kobe World Hall and do some shopping. When I started looking for a hotel, I decided I'd try to find one on Port Island so we could walk to... More
